Christmas pie was just okay - Edit
Had the vegan Christmas pie with all the trimmings. It was a hearty portion and worth the money in that respect. Tastewise it was just okay. Wouldn't rush back for it but it filled a hole.

Good value hearty food - Edit
Went for Mother Earth deal option with meatless moo, followed by pecan Sunday. Food was prepared quickly, cannot fault. Would definitely come again.

Great vegan selection! - Edit
We tried the Moo-less Moo and Kevin vegan pies (sadly the mock-a-doodle was out of stock) and they were delicious. The small plate of parsnip bites were really good too. We would definitely visit again.

Excellent - Edit
As it says in the window, this place is certainly vegan friendly. Loads of savoury and sweet vegan options. I went with the Mooless Moo Mothership (see photo for ingredients). Wife went for the Mock-a-doodle Mother Earth. Both excellent - deceiving, as they don’t look big when they arrive (on tin plates, keeping with theme), but you’re struggling at the end. Couldn’t really taste the peas, crispy onions or cheese when the gravy was added, but all combined tasted lovely. Generous portions of tea (with oat milk). Recommended.

Worth it! - Edit
Very nice! Located on Division Street (one of my favourite parts of Sheffield) so quite easy to find :).
Read moreI visited with two friends on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy at all, we were seated immediately by the lovely staff members which was great!
There was a good range of vegan options available. Just be wary if you don’t eat food with alcohol in as all the main vegan pies contain alcohol and personally, I don't drink, hence I got some small pasties (3 for £7 I believe).
The pasties were very nice and filling nevertheless and I was happy! I also got some chips in proper British spirit, which I really enjoyed 😋 My friends both got pies and they loved them. Really nice, big portions and the presentation was fab too!
It's also quite reasonably priced so it's worth a visit if you're in the area and want a taste of British culture...it's not just beans on toast!

Pie-tastic - Edit
If you love pie and mash then this is the place for you. They have a great range of vegan pies, the gravy is vegan and they use Violife cheese on the Mothership option. Amazing! Deserves 5 stars!

Pieminister - Edit
My pie was good, I think it was called Kevin? It was recommended by the waiter as most popular and came with vegan chicken and a creamy leek filling. My only regret is not adding mash or peas, as my pie looked sad and lonely on my plate. 3.5 stars overall.

Good pie, not so good mash - Edit
The options for vegan pies here are very good, but unfortunately the vegan mash isn’t, and let’s it down. You can’t get chips either, only fries. I would recommended Nottingham House rather than here, but the location is good and I like the music, so it’s not a bad place to eat. It just needs to improve a little.

"look into our pies" - Edit
The majority of the menu is veggie/vegan. I had the Kevin pie as part of the mother earth meal option and it was delicious. Crispy pastry, creamy (VEGAN) mash, kale and parsnip fritter, peas. As a lactose intolerant vegan it's really nice to have clarity on items such as mash which have caused me (and my digestive system) issues before. Will be returning to make my way through the 4 remaining vegan pies.

They now do 3 different vegan pies and a patty, and lots of sides as well to choose from plus dessert options too. Look out for offers if you join the mailing list too.

Pie me a River - Edit
Now two pies to choose from, I went with the new Chooks Away pie on the 'Mother Earth' meal. Everything was delicious and everyone in my group (3 vegans, a vegetarian and a murderer) enjoyed it and cleaned their plates. Salted caramel soft serve dessert also hit the spot. Comfort food without thinking you are 'eating vegan'. Good place to go in a mixed a group or just when you fancy a carb fest.

Nice place to go with anti-vegans - Edit
My dad and his wife were visiting and saying they are open to the idea of vegan food would be a lie, so we had to find a place that would feed us as well as them. The vegan options are nice and there are even a few dessert option, something that's missing all too often in non-vegan places. The staff was knowledgeable and the food tasted nice. Compared to buying its bake-at-home versions, this is obviously more expensive but at least you get the experience of eating out (and won't have to do the dishes).
