Tasty but not many vegan options

The pitas themselves were very tasty. Unfortunately, there are only two vegan options. The decor isn't very nice and the staff weren't very friendly either..

Nice falafel and hummus but no other options

The vegan options are limited, either a lot of falafel with a bit of hummus with some falafel. Some other options would be nice. I had the hummus plate which was basically half a plate full of hummus (way too much for one person), salad and some falafel. The pita bread is very nice tough!

Pros: Good hummus and falafel, Very good pita

Cons: Limited vegan options, Rather high price

Good pitta but not mind-blowing

I go there with friends from time to time.
Nice and cozy meeting point and vegan friendly food.

However I had much better hummus or falafel in other places (other cities) recently. So not that special.

Pros: Some vegan options , Vegan food is first on the menu

Cons: Good but not outstanding food

Great food! Maybe more vegan options soon?

Great food, okay prizes. Two vegan options - but one‘s falafel with humus, the other‘s humus with falafel 😂 Maybe more options coming up?

Pros: Great food!, Prizes are okay

Best Falafel in town

Nothing compares to those freshly made Falafel. Clearly in high demand because it's always crowded. If you wan't to eat there at a table, take my advice and make a reservation. Also a good take away option if you're capable of eating a fully stuffed pita without drenching yourself in the tasty homemade hummus or the also tasty chutneys. Very good value for money even if it seems a bit pricey. As a good eater a Falafel plate always sates me. A must go for every vegan.

Pros: excellent fresh food, good value for money, friendly staff

Cons: a bit crowded at times

best falafel I ever had

I eat here a few times a year. The food is really, really good, but the falafels will spoil you for any others. They are juicy yet crispy, fried to perfection.

Best 1001 Night Vegan options

Very delicious vegan options! Our favorites:

Betenjan and Sabanesh (its listed under the vegetarian options, just leave the cheese off) in the bread. Tipp: ask for some extra hummus inside. ;) One of our most favorite vegan places to eat like in heaven with 1001 night spirit!

Fast and lovely service & big but not wasteful portions! The only thing they could do better is go ALL VEGAN!!! ;)

Pros: Very good food, good sized Portions, fast service

Cons: Not all vegan

Disappointing

'The best pitta in town' - may be, but I don't know if there are many other pittarias in Berne.
It takes a long time waiting before you get your pitta or whatever, though there is not much to choose between, especially if you're vegan.
There's much ado about the food, but apart from the enormous and filling quantities there is nothing remarkable about i´t. But not bad, either.

Pros: Friendly staff, Big portions

Cons: Pricey, Not really cosy or comfortable, Too loud

Best pittas in town

It's close to everything, the food is excellent and you will not be hungry afterwards. What do you want more? Cheaper beer maybe.

Pros: taste, location, vegan options

Cons: price

Dear kulturfenster

Thanks a bunch for reviewing us & for the 4/5.

Could you please elaborate on your objection on the beer prices? CHF 4.50 for 3,3dl is widely regarded as a standard price in none-rural Switzerland.

Happy pitta!
