I have ordered takeout from here a bunch, but today was my first time dining in. LOVED the atmosphere, the whole staff was very sweet and knowledgeable. Really appreciate that they asked about allergies before we started ordering.
Read moreThe menu itself was wonderful, big enough that there is definitely something or everyone without being overwhelming. Quick service even though it was busy when we went. Dessert is a must! We had the brownie & ice cream and it was perfect.

I’ve been to planta a few times and everytime it’s so delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is super helpful and polite. Even when I’ve had to wait for food at times they will comp it on our bill. I also love their alcohol free cocktails which are so refreshing, the cucumber mule is my favorite. Yesterday when I went we ate the bao buns, the torched and pressed sushi (the truffle is strong with this one), the spicy chorizo pizza and the seasonal pea fetuchini. My partner said the fetuchini was the “best pasta dish he’d had from any restaurant in years!” And I’d have to agree I hope they put it on their full time menu but I understand, oooo those spring peas, nothing like them. The only question I have with the establishment is the beautiful seating; every chair and booth is so beautifully detailed, but I wonder if it’s real leather. A question for the manager next time.

I was really excited when I realized it was a weekend and still before 4PM, meaning I could try the Brunch menu at PLANTA! After a very long time trying to decide what to get, I went with the French Toast, and I'm so glad I did.
Read moreAs soon as the French Toast came to my table, a group of people leaving asked me, "What is that? We should've got that one instead". That made me feel even more confident in my decision 😅
It was crispy and fluffy in all the right places, not overly sweetened but still very indulgent. It was also very filling, and it looked beautiful.
The inside of the restaurant was definitely an upscale vibe, and service was pretty standard.

This was a complete surprise, as I did not even know about it. Walked by this place on a sunny day in search of food while walking through Bethesda, saw the name “Planta,” walked in and WOW. Beautiful interior, great friendly staff and seeing the Menu made me so happy! I was wven happier when I tried their food! Oh my, just amazing, kudos to them. I cannot wait to be back and I will make sure to visit them in other cities too.

Grade A for taste - C for healthy. The food was delicious. The menu options way better than the ordinary. Delightful fast service. We had dragon roll, crispy rice, spicy tuna from the sushi menu. We had the truffle pizza (VERY mushroomy). Bang bang broccoli. Onion soup. Cheese cake and cc cookie.

I'm definitely be coming here on my work from home days. The food was lovely and all tasted good. My friends ordered the hot chocolate which they said wasn't chocolatey enough, but was good enough. The staff was excellent as well!

Really great vegan sushi options. I love the torched and pressed, crispy rice, and dragon rolls. The bang bang broccoli is a huge winner too. I am making my way through the menu, so I’ve also tried the carbonara, which was pretty good but definitely not worth $25.

Read moreI’ve been there almost 7 times now, and I’ve tried a new dish every time. I have not been disappointed even once. Make sure to sign up for rewards program, might help with unnecessary over charges like even a small glass of Coke.

I am not a newbie when it comes to vegan food, and this place really impressed me. Refined food made of delicious whole, house-made components. Has ample seating for large groups with a reservation. We had the cauliflower tots (tender, savory, with a crispy exterior), unagi nigiri and mushroom bacon inari (exceptional!), eggplant rollatini (tender, flavorful), Frenchie pizza (huge and delicious) and the cheesecake with sour cherry compote to finish. Do not sleep on the cheesecake, it is cashew-based and struck the right balance between sumptuous and light. I am not a fan of sour cherries, but this place makes everything taste so good and I devoured it happily. Our new go-to place for date night.
