Over hyped? - Edit
I don’t get the hype? It was actually quite busy when I went and full of locals. Overpriced hotdogs and quite bland tbf, bread was also quite stale, maybe it’s just a nostalgic place for locals?! The chips was the best thing really, I messed up with the order and I bought a large (very large) portion of chips.

Great vegan hot dog - Edit
My husband says this was all I could talk about. I was so excited by the vegan hot dog— complete with vegan mayo, mustard, and onions. Very tasty and I guess it was exactly what I wanted to try while in Iceland.

Our Icelandic friends kept talking about the hotdogs here, so we were very glad to find this drive-through fast food place that has vegan options. So, so good!!! Will be coming back for more.

Tasty Fast Food - Edit
We stopped by this shop for a snack. You can sit outside, inside are just tables to stand.
Read moreThey offer a vegan HotDog with (sweet) mustard and a vegan Burger. We got a HotDog each and medium fries.
It all tasted very good and we were happy to find something like this on our way.
Can't give 5 stars, because the app doesn't allow for restaurants which serves meat.
Addition: we came here again on our way back, everything still very tasty. One Hotdog per Person and small fries are enough to get full.

So good, we went twice - Edit
If you feel a little junk-foody this is the place. Hot dog about 7, vegan hamburger about 11 euros. Hot dog comes with onion (raw and fried) and sauce. Hamburger basically with just lettuce and mayo. Ask for pickles!

Amazing Vegan Hotdog! - Edit
Amazing hotdogs! Hotdogs are all over the place in Iceland, but not that many places have vegan options! This place in the south, along with the hotdog stand in Akureyri in North are the two best places for vegan hotdogs! It’s a necessary stop on a road trip around Iceland!

Finally some vegan hotdogs - Edit
I searched high and low for vegan hotdogs in Reykjavik. I was finally told by someone at Skal! that they haven't served vegan hotdogs in over two years, and no one else does in Reykjavik.
Read moreI was determined to get the hotdog experience in Iceland and finally found this place.
Their vegan hotdogs come frozen from a bag, but they were the best vegan hotdog I've ever tried (haven't been able to finish any before) and really enjoyed it.
They had many toppings that were vegan and it's hard to tell from the photo, but they put the majority underneath the hotdog.
French fries were great.
Pros: Vegan options
