Really nostalgic ice cream shop that not only does cones and shakes but childhood favorite novelties and even some veganized hot food. Ice cream is super creamy and even soy free so allergy friendly!

Incredible food at a really reasonable price. For less than $4 you can get an enormous ice cream cone; you really can't find that anywhere else these days.

Awesome Vegan Dairy Queen - Edit
Went back home to Chicago to visit and found this spot had opened up in my old neighborhood. Ended up going here three times while I was home, couldn't get enough. Great vegan soft serve, "snowstorms" that are the equivalent of DQ blizzards, and even classic Chicago food options. Will go again every time I go home now.

I got the Oreo sundae, and it was good, but a bit overly sweet, but this is a preferential thing so I’d still say it’s great. Happy to have vegan options like this.

I used to be a fan of Dairy Queen. The Blizzards were my all time favorites in the summer. Now, I’m Vegan and I highly enjoy Snowstorms instead at Runaway Cow! Kudos to the owner!

I grew up going to scoops (an ice cream shop that used to be in the same location) so was thrilled to find it had been replaced with a vegan spot! Super generous portions and the owners were really nice. I love how large the selection is with sundays, milkshakes, cones and more.

Read moreI got a vanilla cone dipped in cherry. Hit the spot. My husband got the chocolate dipped in chocolate, and my mom got a fudge nut bar—which she says tasted just like the Dairy Queen buster bar (neither her nor my husband are vegan and they loved it). I plan on trying the snow storms next!
