Best Indian restaurant in Paris - Edit
When I miss India, I go to this restaurant to find real pure vegetarian Indian food. The South Indian Thali (Sappadu in Tamil) is perfect.

Great takeaway thali - Edit
Quickly stopped here for a south Indian thali as a takeaway before getting the Eurostar. Absolutely delicious food and reasonably priced. Quick service too (about 5 mins).
Read moreActually quite shocked to see the mixed reviews as both my wife and I were really impressed! 2 or 3 of the curries were absolutely incredible and I'd have happily had them as a main!

Lovely place - Edit
I have been here twice and have always felt very welcome and taken care of. The first outing was during a Dosa special and I was over fed and stuffed after - but loved every bite!

Not all products are vegan but you can easily identify them on the menu. Large choice (maybe too large to be sure of the freshness of the product)

Nice Indian restaurant - Edit
Lot of food options that I don’t know what to order. The food was nice and tasty. I took a platter but some food on the platter was a little bit cold. The place is nice to stay in winter. The portions are generous. If you’re are vegan there is no indication of what is vegan or not.

A lot of indian cultured people eat here. The place does not have alcohol, and the food is fresh. It is sometimes very very hot. Makes it difficult to enjoy everything that much. Love the place though

Vegetarian haven in Paris - Edit
This place was a life saver during our visit in Paris - catering to our vegetarian needs more than once. Plenty of options, quick service and tasty food - places this as a must visit. If you want ambience and over the top service then this is not your kind of joint. As a Tamil speaking South Indian food junkie I can confirm authenticity and taste is as close as I would get at home. Focusing on workforce, hygiene and sourcing organic produce will help elevate this unassuming joint to better levels.

Cons: Quality overall, Procurement of organic supplies

Good value vegetarian Indian - Edit
Not much to fault really. Good, cheapish, slightly basic Indian food but well prepared, well presented and felt freshly cooked. Efficient service and clearly very popular.
Pros: Extremely central and very easy to find, Good value vegan/veggie food
Cons: No alchol licence.

Mixed experiences - Edit
I have been here many times. Often I have had good service and tasty food. It is pretty authentic South Indian cuisine but not exceptional.
Read moreOne time I was seated, then waited 10 minutes while servers ignored me and didn't even bring a menu, so I walked out to one of the other three vegetarian places in a block.
My only other complaint is that they have a chaat menu (a collection of snacks, basically Indian street vendor items) but it is never available when I am in Paris. Not in the day and never on Monday. Grrr.
Pros: Cheap, Convenient to Gare du Nord, Usually fast
Cons: Sometimes poor service, Not really outstanding quality, just middling.

Nice meal close to Gare du Nord - Edit
Friendly staff, who really tried to help me understand which items were vegan from the french menu and which ones not. Food was good, good big portion for what I payed. Food was served very fast. I just wish they decorated the restaurant a bit more so it would be a nicer environment to sit in, its a bit boring now. Not a place I would go to to have a "nice dinner night"
Read morePros: located close to gare du nord, food served fast, good taste

Delicious vegan food! - Edit
We came here for dinner and ordered the platter ($12) with multiple small dishes as well as a bowl of Chana masala ($10) and rice ($3). I am a big fan of Indian cuisine, and their Chana masala was the best ice ever had!

Honestly, this is a very poor choice for indian food. The dishes we had were tastless, portions were small, the place had no ambience whatsoever. Service and prices were ok. I'm sure that there are better choices in Paris.

Hello!

For instance, did the plates you have were vegan by default, or did you have to request a vegan version?

above avg indian (vegan options need to be specified) - Edit
We went here with my parents having looked at the reviews. Being Indian, we'll Probably have a higher standard for indian food. This was good food, south Indian dishes probably safest in terms of taste and standard. we had onion utappams, noodles, Gobi Manchurian. When we asked the waiter if we can get vegan he said everything can be made vegan - but be careful as when I ordered Palau which comes with kurma and i double checked if it's vegan he said "yes, only a little bit of cream". NO, that's not vegan. we cancelled that order and explicitly specified and clarified our order again. we checked with the owner also to make sure and he seemed to understand as well. overall I think they know vegan but just clarify about all ingredients when you order north indian dishes especially. other than that, service was ok. The owner came around and spoke to us and was quite friendly once we tried to strike up a conversation with him.

Quick and Tasty - Edit
This vegetarian indian restaurant is located just a stone throw of the Gare du Nord. Service is very quick so it's a good option for a quick meal before a train. Went there twice, I had dosas both times, they were very good and the same price as a sandwhich in the station (4 to 8 euros). You get your money's worth.
