Delicious - Edit
We had been traveling and just wanted to find a place to eat. The concierge at our hotel recommended this place, just a few minutes walk.
Read moreWe had no idea what we were ordering as the names were different from what we’re used to. But since vegan options are clearly marked, we just chose a couple things. It was all delicious.
I would have preferred more rice and less bread. It was also a bit expensive at over 800 baht for lunch for two.

Extensive menu! Good food. - Edit
As a veggie and a fan of Indian cuisines, I had a very enjoyable meal consisting of some favourites.
Read moreSuper tasty Bhel Puri to start, followed Chola Masala (very much classic Chole, with additional green chillies supplied upon request). Good Bhature (not too oily) and a very garlic heavy naan. Delicious!
I also like that room temperature bottled water is the norm.
Not the cheapest, but by no means expensive.

Good vegan options, smelly toilets though! - Edit
We ordered many vegan dishes, I liked most of them, some more than others. I’d highly recommend the masala dosa, onion baji, samosa and the pani puri.

Large menu - Edit
We had the Northern thali and Gujarati thali which they were able to adapt and serve vegan. They came with five curries and dessert. Out of the five curries, I enjoyed two of them and most were too greasy. They came with medium spice. Pretty expensive at 400 baht so had expected higher standards but maybe we chose the wrong items off the menu.

Perfect Thali - Edit
It’s kind of a weird concept. Upon entering, you order and pay at the front desk. Thereafter, you chose a table and wait for your food to be served. It’s quite an expensive place but the food quality is outstanding. The taste seems to be quite original because there are lots of Indian guests around. I always order the delicious North Indian Thali for a total of 422 baht including a small bottle of water. It’s a lot of food. I recommend you to go there in the early afternoon. Don’t eat breakfast before and you won’t have to eat dinner afterwards…

Nice place for hearty Indian food - Edit
It is self service so you do need to order at counter. The staff were very friendly and anxious to do a good job. The only thing is we ordered papadums and the man at the counter forgot to put it on our bill so we had to go up again to put it on.
Read moreThe masala papadums were good. The mixed pakoras were too doughy and I wouldn't recommend them.
The plain paper and masala dosa were really good hearty south Indian fare. The drinks were a bit pricey, I had a virgin pina colada but it was served in a fresh pineapple shell. My husband had The lime soda which was also pricey but there really was no excuse for that to be the case.
Pros: nice dosas
Cons: pricey drinks

Quick service, nice food - Edit
Went here after the restaurant in my hotel was closed for a private party for the third time in a week, so was a bit cranky and the previous review didn't promise much good.
Read moreHowever, when I got there the server at the door was friendly and explained that if I wanted to order more I would have to come back to him. Not the most customer-friendly way to handle it, but since it was explained beforehand it was no issue for me.
Food came quite quickly and tasted good. Plenty of vegan options, including my favorite - Tarka Dal - which is not always possible to get vegan.
Pros: Quick service
Cons: Have to pay up front and go back if you want more

All-veg Indian - Edit
I've had mixed experiences in this restaurant. Sometimes the food is fantastic, at other times it's been reheated in the microwave (witnessed with my own eyes) and tastes old and bland. Large menu covering a variety of cuisines, popular at lunchtime, prices are average to slightly higher than normal for Indian food.

Great food in a quiet location - Edit
We loved this placed whilst visiting Bangkok. Practically next door to our Thee Hotel accommodation it was a lovely little surprise bumping into a veggie place so close! Tasty food at good low prices. Had a relaxed atmosphere with all customers visibly happy with their meals. Need to double check meals are vegan with the staff, as many dishes 'can be made vegan' but was never a problem. Would recommend visiting this place if you are within a short skytrain, car or walk away.

Saras - Bangkok - Edit
I stumbled on this place courtesy of happycow. Me and she were after some takeaway and the choice of Indian savouries on offer seemed perfect to fit the job - we ordered for and it cost 122 Thai baht. When we asked the guy behind the counter which of these were vegan friendly he said all of them. I also spoke with a friendly guy there who turned out to be the manager. He also referenced their vegan friendliness.

Good Choice - Edit
Very good choice of food in a nice atmosphere a bit off the main road away from the hub-bud that is Bangkok. It was quite busy the day we ate there with a mix of Westerners and Asians. My Thai dishes were a bit hot/spicy for me. We received table service but there seemed to be a take away set-up too.

lovely pure veg authentic Indian food - Edit
I found Saras accidentally (right behind the Rembrandt hotel in an ally behind Basilico Italian restaurant) and I walked in, not knowing it was all vegetarian, and the owner who was at the front desk asked me if I was vegetarian while I was looking over the menu, and I answered yes, and he had a great big smile on his face. The staff are all very helpful when it comes to explaining the menu items- there are SO many- from all over India, snaks, Chinese food (the kind of Chinese food you find in India, that is), and Thai dishes. I have been there twice now and had a very spicy paneer roti roll wrap as well as the Gujarati thali- which was amazing! The best and most authentic Indian food I've had since I was in India. Good pricecs- nothing more than 300 baht- the Thali was huge and was 275. They deliver as well and you can order online. Nice, clean atmosphere, mostly frequented by many Indian families.
