Incredible vegan restaurant - Edit
You cannot miss this place if you come in Cortona or even near. It's even worth to visit the city as an excuse to eat here. We were welcomed very warmly by the owners who turned their grandma's house into this restaurant, which offers a full vegan menu with both sandwiches and salads but also finer dishes which left us speechless. I can't recommend this place enough, the owners were among the friendliest people I've ever met. Go there and fill your belly up!

After a while planning to go there, we finally made it and it was truly worth it! Everything offer was thought with care and lots of creativity, balance of flavors, colors and ingredients. Vegan owners truly compromised with the cause. We hope to come back soon !

Vegan bistrot with refined menù. It serves only vegan dishes in a sofisticated ambient. Not so many tables, I suggest the reservation. It is possible to see the chef preparing your meal directly from your table. Super recommended.

Operated by two brothers in their Grandmother's home dating back to the 400's, here you find imaginative, curated offerings that would compete with any big city plant based restaurant.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed enthusiastically! Our table was reserved with Scrabble letters spelling my name. The owner walked us to our table, explained the menu, suggested drinks and let us have some time to read the menu. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We could see the love, care and attention he gives to every detail of the restaurant and menu. Then the drinks came - so delicious! And then the star - the food! We shared about six different menu items, with his recommendations on how many of each, between 5 of us - everything was so creative and beautiful and delicious! What a treat! I would come back in a heartbeat! If you are anywhere near Cortona, make a reservation and visit Scara e Bao! You will not be disappointed! I was the only vegan in my party and everyone raved and no one missed the meat!

Abbinamenti clamorosi, come la fragola con i peperoni e lo yogurt nel gazpacho, oppure le carote marinate nello zenzero o ancora lo gnocco di patata con il gorgonzola veg e il pesto. Ma poi che consistenza lo gnocco, e i dolci uno piu buono dell'altro.... Locale accogliente e personale molto cordiale, ci hanno spiegato nei minimi dettagli ogni piatto. Che dire, grazie di cuore per tenere in alto il nome della cucina plant-based. Non vedo l'ora la prossima volta di sentire anche uno dei vostri cocktails!

Hidden gem - Scara e Beo - Edit
If you’re visiting Cortona, Tuscany, you must visit this wonderful restaurant. Run by two brothers, the food is absolutely amazing. Fully plant-based, this is a gem set in this beautiful location. The tasting menu is highly recommended. If visiting with children, Antonio will adapt the dishes. Great ambiance and friendly, attentive staff. I would come back to Cortona just to eat here again!
