No brainer - easy, fast, cheap, vegan - Edit
With the limited vegan options around this was a no brainer. Located in the lower level of a shopping mall.
Read moreFood was tasty and really cheap. Paid a total of around 200 Baht for two full dishes.
Typical mall atmosphere so no place to stay the evening but ideal for a quick grab of vegan food.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
I visited here several times during my Bangkok trip in January 2020, and I kept returning because the food was so delicious! They have so many delicious options and the prices were very cheap. It's located inside of the mall in the food court. Sometimes, it was challenging finding seating due to it being very busy.

Great food stall in On Nut Century - Edit
Located on the lowest floor, next to tops.
Read moreOver my 5 1/2 months in Bangkok I became a huge fan of the different So Vegan branches.
They all sell a rice buffet with the dishes on display in the window. Depending on which branch you visit, English will be spoken better or worse. Basic communication should be possible at all of them though.
There are many different dishes, changing on a daily basis with some being available each day. A few of my favourites are Kaeng som, Massaman, Pad Kra Pao and the tofu - mushroom mix. Some are quite spicy, overall I found all to be very tasty.
Rice + your choice of 3 toppings from the pre cooked dishes is 60 THB.
The portions are not huge but I found it to be enough usually.
They also have some different dishes which they cook fresh for you, including Som Tam and other salads, fresh Kra Pao, some soups and many more. Also very tasty.
Even though the quality of the food for sure isn't top notch, I still very much enjoyed my many visits to all their branches.
I can't recommend their Western menus, I only once tried the burger, which I found okay to be fair.
But I overheard quite a few foreigners usually being not very happy with their orders of Western menus.
Stick to the Thai menus and I'm sure you will enojy your visit as well.
Depending on the time of visit, the branches might be quite crowded, especially the ones in On Nut and Ekkamai.
I've never eaten the "original" meaty version of the Thai dishes, but I came here with some omni Thai friends who all told me most of the menus really taste like the versions with meat.
Pros: local Thai food , cheap and fair Thai prices

Tasty vegan food - Edit
The best part of this restaurant is that we were lucky enough to be near this place during our brief visit to Bangkok. Thanks to it we got tasty vegan food among the vast array of non veg options available.
Read moreThere are some food options which was in the open and not covered. I think that would be thai cooking style as they would heat it once the customer orders. We specifically ordered food which needs to be fried or cooking would be necessary.
Overall, we liked the experience and thankful that it was near to our stay.
Pros: Food , Polite and helpful staff

The sellers don't speak good english. Most of the food is standing outside all day - I had a stomachache after eating there. Pros - lots of dishes, cheap.

Bountiful staples - Edit
I am sad I discovered this towards the end of this trip. It's a place you want to come every day or most days. A plate with rice and 3 options is 60 bhat- about 1.74USD at the time of writing. Full of flavor, lots of variety of vegan proteins and veg.
Read moreNote- hours have changed. It's now 10:30am to 8:30pm. We came at 6pm and there was still a lot available, but it looked like some stuff had sold out.
It also has spring rolls and other goodies as sides.
In the basement in the center of Century Plaza at On Nut station on the BTS line, in Sukhumvit.

Really like this spot! I have a feeling I'll be coming here a lot in the future. There are many options to choose from. You can choose from a set menu or pick what you like from behind the glass counter (although this food may be less hot since it's not cooked to order).

We had rice with 3 items and paid 60 THB per person. That's a great price, they serve large portions and tasty food with lots of veggies. They have a great variety of thai dishes on offer. It was all very very fresh and flavourful. It's not spicy. You are really full after a meal over there. It's a cheap and good vegan thaifood restaurant.

Restaurant/food stall inside the Century mall. They offer a large variety, around 20 or so, pre-cooked Thai dishes. You choose 1 or 2 of the dishes from the counter and it's served with purple rice. They also offer som appetizers. I recommend the fried chicken appetizer -- it was absolutely delicious! Everything is very good and extremely cheap.
