Had the pleasure to visit this food truck area while visiting Recife during a short stay. I made a quick stop to Space Veg on my way to the airport and absolutely loved the food. The lady who served us was extremely nice and food was delicious, they serve some traditional Brazilian dishes during lunch (we had lasagna and parmegianna followed by a brownie - everything was yummy). They serve crepes at night time.

I went there with my family for lunch. I ordered a lasagna and my parents ordered the bife à parmegiana. The lasagna was very creamy, the pasta soft and the dish had an intense tomato paste flavour. I find this taste very typical of homemade brazilian lasagnas, which I like, but the amount of salt was a tad overwhelming, and it's not what you're looking for when you want freshness. But then, it really was a flavourful dish, and I love the creaminess.
Read moreI tried a bit of the beef and it was really good. We asked them what it was made of and it's soy meat!!! Soy meat!!! Soy meat tastes like nothing!! but they made it taste good!!??? Wizardry! The side dishes were ok. The mashed potatoes were a bit bland though.
The brownie was nice and fudgy. Ideally I'd like it to have a more intense chocolate flavour, but it's not bad at all.
Overall I think this is the kind of food to impress your non-veg friends. It's affordable, rich and it's that kinda comfort food brazilians love to eat for lunch on weekends. Also I have to mention the generous amount of food and how insanely fast they were. Kudos. Really enjoyed going there and will likely return.

Space Veg has several vegan crepes with varied flavors, including jackfruit, mushrooms and chocolate. The owner is extremely kind and the price is great.

Space Veg is by far my most favorite restaurant in all of Recife. It is a small food stand that is located in a small food park in Boa Viagem. They have hella nom crepes salgados and crepes doces. My favorite savory crepes are the Terra which is veg chicken and the Mercurio which is veg shrimp. And words can not describe the amazingness of the crepe doce with banana and chocolate. It is on a whole other level of deliciousness. Also, they sell beer but if you're in the mood for something stronger there is a bar in the same park. On Wednesdays they do a promotion like two for the price of one for the savory crepes!! The people that work there are so friendly and welcoming. Only thing is I wish I lived in the boundaries for delivery or else I would be eating there everyday. Oh!!! And vegan brownies!!!!
