Local coffee chain. This location est. April 2024. Vegans can order a variety of coffee and espresso drinks. Also has some labeled vegan breakfast options. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-3:00pm.
While staying in south downtown Atlanta, I had a hard time finding coffee shops. I finally came across Spiller Park on Mitchell St, and I was pleasantly surprised. This location just opened and has a great atmosphere with a really fun energy from the knowledgeable and helpful baristas working the counter. People were pouring in and out of this place both days I visited, and customers were openly chatty with each other and the staff. I first ordered a cortado with oat milk, and the espresso tasted a little burnt (or a very dark roast was used), but it was otherwise pretty good. The second day, I ordered a drip coffee with "a fair amount of oat milk," and it was smooth and delicious. My partner ordered the same, and unfortunately his coffee with oat milk curdled (likely due to the new batch of coffee that was used for his drink). Despite these imperfections, I will definitely go back to Spiller. They offer a large breakfast menu with several vegetarian options and at least one vegan option clearly marked (see the avocado toast; also offers vegan nut butters). I am certain more items could be made vegan upon request, and the customer service here was top-notch, so I have no doubt the staff will do what it takes to please a customer.
