Delicious - Edit
I had the open falafel plate as I can’t have gluten and my partner had the mixed yiros. My partner described the yiros as the best meat substitute he had ever had. “Flavours there, textures there”. The falafel open plate was ok - the salad was fresh and tasty, the chips crispy and well seasoned but the falafel itself was a little bit of let down, tasting a little like premade supermarket falafel.
Read morePros: The meal felt well balanced, Good portion sizes
Cons: The envy of a gf person stuck with falafel

Exceeded expectations - Edit
Never been a fan of Greek food because in my visits to Greece, travelling as a vegan in the 1990s, the only vegan food I could find were salads with just olives, tomatoes and green leaves and occasionally, rice stuffed vine leaves. Not that tasty and not very sustaining. But now I can say I am a fan of Greek food thanks to Staazi and Co.
Read moreI love that they proudly wear their vegan credentials. Great location, with indoor and outdoor seating. Very central.
I am a big protein fan so I ordered the combo lamb and chicken open plate so I could try both protein options. It was excellent - heaps of protein, beautifully cooked with charred edges and chewy textures which juxtaposed very nicely with the crunchy tangy salad and garlicky yogurt sauce. The pitas that came with it were beautifully seasoned and delicious.
Great food. Thank you for showing me what Greek food is like.
Pros: very tasty, lots of protein, great textures and flavours

Best Vegan Greek Food - Edit
This place is amazing! Cute little store, really fast & lovely service, with some little tables on the street in the sun to enjoy your Yiros. The food was delicious, really juicy and filling. Loads of ‘meat’ in the combo yiros, and the prawn special was amazing too. Full of flavour!!

Bold - Edit
I give 5 stars although it did not blow my mind for these guys to dare to open a vegan yiros shop in the middle of the small adelaide, they have some balls. The food was good but a bit too salty for my taste. Still, as a vegan, go an support a local businness please!

The reviews are right! - Edit
We came here for a late lunch/early dinner before flying back to Melbourne. As a special, they had a “prawn” option. I had the open bowl “prawn” which had prawns, the most delicious fried bread, salad and tzatziki. My partner had the open bowl with “lamb.” We both really enjoyed our meals and they were filling.
Read moreI also had a vegan wagon wheel which texture wise and flavour wise was perfect. I wish they could send to Melbourne!
Plan your day(s) carefully in Adelaide so you don’t miss out on places (many of which seem to close at the same time which makes it difficult).
Pros: Wagon wheel

What a gorgeous place to gorge on Vegan Greek food! - Edit
The little store is so quaint. The menu is Greek style ‘lamb’ and ‘tricken’ with fresh pita and fries done in various ways. Busy, friendly and fresh. Sweets are amazing sounding Greek treats and I bought gf wagon wheels too. A yummy feast!

How random to find a Greek vegan place in Adelaide, and…. - Edit
… I’ve been to quite a few vegan restaurants all around Greece - this is better🇬🇷
Read moreYou can easily take your non-vegan friends or family here, they probably won’t know, and when they try the food, they won’t care.
Definitely not the healthiest vegan option, but this food is definitely worth it⭐️

So so fantastic - Edit
I had the combo plate and it was honestly next level! It was good to try the fix of meats and the sauce just topped it off. It's maybe a bit too much for one person but good if you're hungry.
Read moreI found the feta fries a bit too intense it was very good for a few mouthfuls but it's a very strong taste with not much cutting through it so I would probably only recommend it if there's a few of you sharing or you take it home.
Definitely a place to come if you are after some good Greek!

Yummy Greek lunch stop - Edit
I stopped in here after a day at the museum and art gallery and it was very reachable on foot, it took us about 10 minutes to walk from the gallery to Staazi.
Read moreThe food was amazing, very reasonably priced and came out quickly everything was freshly made, no soggy bread! Several different protein options including lamb, falafel or chicken- all plant based. I had the lamb open plate which certainly filled me up for the rest of the day! I also had a little baklava which I took away with me and was divine! Perfectly balanced flavours with some cardamom coming through. I could have eaten 20 of them!
I'd say its a place not to be missed if you're looking for a quick lunch in the city or as a perfect stop during a tourism day.
Pros: Reasonably priced, Delicious food, Several plant based protein options
Cons: None

Yiros was amazing - Edit
I don’t think I have had Greek food since going vegan so was excited to try when I saw this cafe in Adelaide. The flavours of the lamb yiros were so authentic and so satisfying. I also got a wagon wheel and that was better than the real one. Heaps of marshmallow and chocolate!! Yum!!

After a few days drive with not a lot of options this was an insane find and close to my hotel. Will be back! “Meat” options had the right texture and taste which I haven’t found in years. Cheers
