Solid Matcha Varieties - Edit
Stonemill is a really wonderful matcha spot here in the Mission. They've got a lot of Japanese cafe items from sandwiches and pastries to their awesome matcha beverages.
Read moreMy friends and I weren't hungry so we decided to grab-and-go some drinks. They currently have you waiting in line outside to take orders instead of walking into the actual shop. They are definitely serious about maintaining a safe dining experience so much respect to their team.
I ordered their Pumpkin Spice Hojicha Latte. Since it was the season, I figured why not? Their pumpkin spice syrup is vegan friendly and mixed together with their quality roasted green tea, it was a perfect drink for a cool fall day. Drinks came out very quickly and we were very satisfied.
I don't think any of their food items are vegan sadly but we can at least order a delicious drink instead.
Pros: Seasonal varieties of matcha available
Cons: Long wait if dining inside

Stonemill Matcha - Edit
Visit: 3/1/2019. I visited Stonemill Matcha to work remotely while sipping on matcha lattes only to feel pretty let down. The place was jam packed and difficult to find seating, but there were others seated with their laptops so I was optimistic.
Read moreThe thing I was very disappointed with was their matcha latte. I ordered my matcha latte with oat milk and was expecting a really good matcha latte given that this place specializes in matcha. My drink was nearly $6.50 (before tip). When my name was called to pick up my drink, I was very disappointed to see that they did not fill the drink to the top of the cup...there was an unacceptable amount of room at the top (and I compared to others and saw their cups filled to the top). Second, either the cup or the matcha had a very unpleasant smell, which may have been the reason why it seemed my matcha latte did not taste great. Either way, I recommend they consistently fill their drinks to the top of the cup for everyone and consider replacing their paper cups if that's what is causing the unpleasant smell. I likely won't come back since I feel ripped off for a $6.50 matcha drink.
