Good vegan pastries - Edit
Really enjoyed the Danish. Arepa de chocolo was quite rich. Guava bun was mostly dough with a bit of guava at the bottom. Cappuccino was ok, personally not a fan of the brand of oat milk used.

Updated review, January 2026:
Read moreC&C folks have moved to Bushwick (189 Wilson Ave) and rebranded as a bakery! The inside space is cozy and orange-toned, and very casual (style-matched folding chairs and counter ordering, self-bussing, etc).
As of now, it seems they have a soft opening thing going on where weekdays and weekends have baked goods and some small lunchy items. Their social media states they'll be expanding to a dinner menu on the weekends, which I look forward to trying since their heftier plates at their now-closed Bowery food stand were really delicious.
A big change is that they now seem to be lacto-ovo vegetarian, and about half of the baked goods are vegan. There are dairy milks available for cafe drinks (no price distinction between milks). Some of the lunch items include eggs, yogurt, cheese.
Another flag is that some of the baked goods (cinnamon bun, guava roll) seem to include alcohol or some other strongly fermented ingredients (just discerning based on taste), but were not labeled as such. If you're avoiding or abstain from alcohol, please check with their team and report back if they do in fact contain alcohol!
From October 2023:
I’ve been twice and enjoyed the chickn and yuba sandwiches. Really fantastic and thoughtful dishes and tastes. (Great sauces.) The small fry isn’t so small, portion wise! The staff are friendly and its location in Bowery Market really makes it feel like a neighborhood place. It’s not the cheapest but since ingredients are prepared in house, I don’t mind it!

Inventive, delicious and beautiful food - Edit
Possibly the best vegan food in NYC. Their rotating menu consistently features inventive dishes with bold flavours and interesting ingredients. That they make such delicious, attractive food in such a tiny kitchen is something of a miracle. A true testament to the care and professionalism of the chef and team.
Read moreOn a recent visit, we had the Lion's Mane Mushrooms with crispy yucca, the Fried Chick'n Sandwich and Romesco Toast. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented as always.
Pricing is also very fair for what you get, a rarity in the city. The only downside here is that a dish you fall in love with might no longer be available the next time you go. Of course, it's safe to assume there'll be other amazing dishes to fall in love with.
Run here, and often!
Pros: Delicious, inventive, beautiful dishes, Fair pricing, Friendly staff

Fine dining flavors at bargain price - Edit
Delicious and nuanced flavors. If you were served this at a fine dining restaurant, you would believe it. So it's an incredible rarity to find this flavorful, innovative, and well-plated food for these prices. The menu is somewhat limited but seasonal, so you'll keep finding something new all year. I asked Chef Chris why he decided to keep the menu fully plant-based and appreciate his reasoning. Humble and friendly guy. Wishing him a lot of success!

So delicious! - Edit
Cute eatery with outside seating. "Potato salad" was perfect for a hot day! Crispy rice and the chicken sandwich were divine too and the sugarcane with lime was excellent! Such a talented chef 🤩

Street with a twist - Edit
A little booth at the Bowery street market offering an all vegan international menu. A one man show, food was made right in front of me as I pulled a stool by the bar and waited. I tried the chicken sandwich, a breaded deep fried home-made seitan patty in a burger bun. The pickled daikon radish slices were a beautiful addition and so was the scallion spread. Definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, check this place out.

Pretty decent vegan food - Edit
The humble tagline in the sidewalk sign drew us in. The food stands are now enclosed under a clear roof, but it is such an interesting place. Everything is made in house. #Veganuary

Sophisticated food - Edit
This chef is really talented and so creative. The menu changes seasonally. Honestly, if this was at a brick and mortar the food would cost almost double. The chicken sandwich is great Yes but the other dishes are very elevated! I think folks tend to start with that then venture to the other more exciting dishes. Today we had a chickpea .. like polenta with a mushroom ragu and the PPP dish! Great flavors and textures! It’s was fantastic. I’ve been 4x’s thus far and super pleased every visit.

In the Bowery Martket - Edit
The Bowery Market is a tiny collection of outdoor booths that sell food and drink, with some outdoor tables and stools for eating; located in the Bowery of NYC. Sunday C&C eatery is a small, all-vegan booth within this market. The server in the booth takes your order, cooks it in front of you, and you grab a stool or table to eat your wares.
Read moreI had a chik'n sandwich, which was delicious; they also have healthier fare. This is not fast food nor cheap food; more like a basic, really good home-cooked meal is an outdoor setting. I would definitely come back.
Pros: Good food; relaxed, funky, outdoor setting
Cons: No available bathrooms
