Tried something new today- Leppet (Myanmar fermented tea rice). Really tasty. I’ll definitely come again to try other items.

Quality food at a price - Edit
Abacus ($7.50) is super soft, fresh and chewy that I ordered another for takeaway. Small portion though 😅
Read moreTakeaway fresh popiah ($7) and their signature leicha ($10). Requested to remove anchovies in the leicha.
Leicha taste is strong with mint. They use cashew instead of peanuts. As for popiah, it is freshly made, lightly taste. The chilli is sharp spicy, even when I told them to put tiny bit of spiciness.

Affordable and Tasty Organic Local Dishes - Edit
Except for a few drinks with honey, all the dishes are vegan and allium-free. My favourite place to get affordable and tasty local dishes with organic ingredients and wholegrains. Highly recommend the vegan assam fish! Non-veg family member likes the food here too. They have a retail section as well selling some health foods. Located at Rail Mall near Hillview MRT.

Finally, I tried the highly touted food at Sunny Choice at The Rail Mall - ordered the chef's recommendations
Read moreBak Kut Teh with mee sua was good and nicely seasoned - 3.5/5 (sorry, I still like Veggie House's version better).
Bibimbap had a small portion of rice, did not come with kimchi and had no gochujiang; instead it came with their own in-house red sauce; I did not like the many mung bean coats found in the taugeh; the carrot was blanched and the cucumber was raw (no seasoning). While I understand and enjoy the healthy aspects of having less oil and less salt in my food, unfortunately, this dish is underwhleming for me, as I was expecting some authentic aspects of THE Korean bibimbap, though in all fairness, it's enjoyable on its own with the seasoned mushrooms and a stub of mock sausage(?) made of mushroom stalk - 3.5/5
Pros: Less oil, salt, healthy taste
Cons: Light portions (vs. price point), some hard selling of expensive fruit juice

I had Thunder Tea Rice. The green tea soup that come with the rice taste authentic and great.

The price is reasonable for the value. The portion is bigger than the normal plate in hawker stall or in food court.

Sunny Choice is a little out of the way but it was super worth the trip.
Read moreI had ginger tea and they grated the ginger. No bag! I also got the assam 'fish' curry. It was shockingly good. It had the right balance of sour, spicy and sweet. The gravy was also just the right consistency.
I will be back.

Cons: Hard to get to

Yummy & healthy food - Edit
Tried their abacus seeds (suan pan zi), pineapple fried rice & curry brown rice set upsized :) My dad, sis & I ordered upsized portions for the latter two to share, and later realised that we over-ordered again cause one fish could feed 2 of us haha XP Anyway to be honest the pineapple fried rice tasted monotonous and the curry wasn’t exactly spicy; the assam ‘fish’ rice set & abacus seeds (which we had previously) are what we’d recommend instead :)

healthy vegetarian food! - Edit
The food is organic and very easy to digest. Love the abacus and Korean bibimbap.. for the spicy food, Assam fish with noodles is the best! Only thing is, the staff likes to ask you to buy the items on promotion and it sometimes gets annoying.. so I have not patronised it for a year.

This restaurant is in rail mall .. I love the salad noodles .. v fresh ingredients used .. owner is v nice and accommodating .. prices are reasonable .. I don't have mushrooms so options are limited but it is a nice place in the west. Parking is not a problem. Restaurant stocks many vegan and vegetarian snacks, oils, seeds, grains etc

Great place for a delicious and healthy lunch or dinner. My favorites are the vegetable sushi and curry noodle. Salads and soups are also good.

A great local eatery! - Edit
A very friendly local cafe. The food is always good and there is a varied selection. Very reasonable prices - $7.50 for Lei Cha. The staff are friendly and I never feel awkward on the occasions that I eat alone. The only downside for me is that drinks are almost as expensive as the meals. £4.50 for a green tea - I don't think so.
