Authentic sushi with vegetarian/vegan options

We were quite surprised, stumbling upon this place, that so many vegetarian (and to some extent also vegan) options were available! Especially many nigiri-type sushi. It seems that there are 7 vegan options on the nigiri menu (and aditionally two vegetarian options), and at least one vegan hosomaki.

The restaurant felt very authentic - they spoke almost no english at all and typed things into Google translate a few times, but that's part of the charm 😅

Though it is a bit expensive, the vegetarian options are actually, in most cases, quite a bit cheaper than the fish/meat options.

If you order sake, they will pour it from quite large, impressively looking bottles!

Ordering is a bit difficult, as you ideally would write on a piece of paper, but everything is in japanese, so you have to ask a waiter and point towards the menu.

If you are sensitive about looking at images of sushi containing fish, it should be notes that the vegetarian options are not separated from the meat options, though they are listed in the same column.

Overall, very nice to find sushi with (multiple!) vegetarian options.

I cannot confirm if the vegetarian options are prepared separately from the mest options, or if there are any "hidden" ingredients in e.g. a flavoring sauce, etc., as the communication of what we wanted to order was somewhat difficult already 😅

Pros: Surprisingly many vegetarian/vegan options!, Authentic feel, Large sake bottles when ordering sake

Cons: Ordering (and communication) is a bit difficult, Somewhat expensive
