Bakery
Serves traditional trlndnik, a bread with cinnamon and sugar and roasted above the oven. The dough used here is vegan. There is an allergy list, and staff know which options are vegan.

Vegan Chimney Cake - Edit
Sweet dreams offer Chimney Cake with different fillings. The dough is vegan and some of the fillings like fresh fruits and strawberry jam. They have also vegan whipping cream as a topping. We got a Chimney Cake with fresh strawberries and whipping cream, which was very good!

Traditional - Edit
Little spot for the traditional czech sweet Trdelnik. The dough is vegan and some adds are vegan too. Ask the staff which options are available.

Room for improvement - Edit
One of the very few places offering the Czech specialty, Trdelnik, with vegan dough and (only) a few vegan fillings.
Read moreI personally thought it was a bit dry and tasted too sweet, but it was still interesting to try.
Pros: Vegan dough
Cons: Very limited in vegan fillings, a bit overpriced (in my opinion)

Plain or with fruit is vegan - Edit
One of the few places that seem to know what options were vegan. I have never had one before, but found it a bit dry and heavy with simply marmalade and strawberries.

Ok - Edit
Okish here, not many vegan options (2) strawberries and banana. Staff weren’t exactly over welcoming and forthcoming

Veganes Trdelnik - Edit

Good to have the option - Edit
We were pleased to know they these were suitable for vegans but I think they are more "accidentally vegan" as they don't cater much for vegans in terms of filling. Two options of fresh strawberries or just strawberry jam. One per person was a bit much this way, they are quite filling. Staff weren't the nicest either.

Barely vegan - Edit
While they did have a vegan dough and vegan options, they were very few. The staff was also absurdly rude about it.

Tasty local food - Edit
Only 2 options both strawberry. I think normally you have ice cream inside. It was good and very sweet but a bit dry from just strawberry jam. Nice to have some local food though!

Always dreamed of vegan Trdelník - Edit
I had Trdelník before I was vegan, many years ago and I don’t know if their recipe would have been vegan or not but it was much better than the one I had here. This one was quite dry and not so tasty, very heavy. That being said, I’m grateful to have had a vegan Trdelník!

Limited options - Edit
The options are limited - plain, with strawberry jam or with fresh strawberries. Tasty and simple.

Sweet treat - Edit
We read the reviews before coming here, so knew that we would have limited options. Therefore, we decided to get 1 chimney cake with jam and strawberries, and 1 with just jam, and we both thought they were really tasty! The dough wasn’t too sickly, the strawberries tasted fresh and they were big enough to keep us going for a few more hours. Definitely cannot complain, even with the limited options, as we both know how difficult it can be to find vegan baked goods. They were clearly very popular, but the wait wasn’t too long, and the staff were able to easily confirm the vegan options in English.

rude stuff - Edit
You have to ask for vegan options, they to have 2 or 3 different fillings. The guy was super annoyed and unfriendly. All in all a bit disappointing.

Good in taste - Edit
But as they have no vegan cream it is a little bit dry. I would love if they have one day a option with both a vegan cream and sauce.

Good, but hard to find - Edit
It was rather hard to find, since it does not show the name on the outside. Food was tasty, however since it was our first time, we don't have any comparison.

vegan trdelník! - Edit
was v happy to find out thanks to this place theres a place that offers a vegan trdelník near the old town square!
Read morewould appreciate more cinnamon, but the trdelník itself is really nice. it'd be also neat if the shop set up a sign informing others they sell a plant-based trdelník for vegans/plant-based diet people passing by. the staff confirms the vegan trdelník (and one vegan filling) if asked tho, which is nice!
Pros: vegan trdelník!, friendly staff
Cons: only one vegan filling, absence of vegan sign

When I found out that the strawberry jam trlndnik is vegan, I was very excited to try it. The jam filling went nicely with the rest of the dessert. The pricing is a bit expensive though.

I was glad to see an allergy list at this place. The strawberry jam one is vegan and nice to have. I would love more vegan options with more special fillings! 😊😛
