Serves meat, vegan options available. A small restaurant located in uptown Westerville. Uses local, organic ingredients and are always helpful answering questions for vegans and vegetarians. Most of the dishes offer tofu and are marked if there is a veg option. Try the pad kee mao. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-10:00pm, Sat 12:00pm-10:00pm, Sun 1:00pm-10:00pm.

Ridiculous good curries - Edit
EDITED Aug 2024: OMG service has gone to poop. The restaurant is a sweat box and it takes FOREVER to get your food, took literally 60 mins for our meal. Thai Grille, hire some more people and turn the AC on when it’s 90 degrees.
Read moreJust found this gem of a restaurant a couple of weeks back, been there four times already. I am absolutely obsessed with the Massaman Curry with Veggie Duck (on the menu it’s the beef curry, just subbed out the beef for faux duck made from seitan). Pro tip: grab an extra serving of jasmine rice with it. I’d give Thai Grille 5 stars just for the curries.
The appetizers are a bit of a letdown though. They aren’t bad, but they’re not great either. I’d give them a pass to be honest, money is better spent on the Fried Banana dessert. It does get topped with honey, so if you are anti-honey let them know beforehand. It’s delicious.

Thai restaurant - Edit
We went on a Thursday night and the place had a big sign stating. Expect long waits. Low staff. We went in still. This restaurant was highly regarded on the Columbus vegan FaceBook page as being good and legit Thai with vegan options so we decided to try it. Long was not as long as expected. We ordered the seared tofu with peanut sauce. Very good. The consistency of the tofu was really good. Then we order the pad Thai which came without peanuts and not a lot of veggies. Heavy on the oil. My wife actually got sick because of that. We also order the tofu curry. This was really good. One of the best ones we had. Thick sauce. Delicious. Potatoes that melted in your mouth. Not a lot of other veggies though. Just snow peas. And I had the Thai ice tea. Really good too. Staff was knowledgeable with our vegan needs. Will probably go again and skip the pad Thai. Has its own parking. Credit card orders need to be over $15 and they don’t take American Express. Portions are small. Not a lot of rice for the curry dish.

Knowledgeable Staff - Edit
While visiting a dear friend he took me and my hubby to dinner here. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful regarding our vegan choices (and gluten-free) and helped us choose dinner options that were delicious and also within our dietary parameters. It was nice going to a restaurant where the staff knew the ingredients of the menu items well enough to be confident in which dishes are vegan and which were not.

Would rate 5 stars if I could!! - Edit
Happy Cow only let me rate 4/5 stars due to not being a fully veg restaurant, but this place definitely offers 5 star food! I've been going to this restaurant for ages living in the Westerville area, and was very happy that I could continue going when I went fully vegan 5 years ago. My go-to meal includes: Drink - Thai Iced tea (ask to be made with coconut milk), App - Curry Puffs, Main - Tofu Curry (extra spicy) w jasmine rice, Dessert - Mango sticky rice (not on the menu! but ask for it, it's incredible!). If you are in the area and haven't tried it yet, you are definitely missing out!!

Great vegan options - Edit
We love the Thai Grille! It was our favorite restaurant before going vegan, and still is. All the curry choices are super and can be made with extra veggies, tofu, or even faux duck. It is the same for nearly all their dishes. If you love Thai food, you must eat at the Thai Grille!

THE place to go for original Thai food! - Edit
If you want authentic Thai food this is the place to go in Central Ohio. A small, yet quaint, location that will remind you of big city, hard to find, great restaurants. Rich and his wife have done a superb job of keeping the food true to her Thailand roots. You can add or subtract spiciness and substitute tofu for most meat dishes. Not very expensive and they have a decent wine list. Easily one of the top 10 restaurants in Columbus for atmosphere, service, price and food!

Cons: You may have to wait a bit if they're busy.

A lot of vegan options - Edit
The food was really good and everything is made fresh so you can order so many things vegan. I got the kee mao with tofu and it was amazing! Also got the Tom kha soup without chicken and made vegan. Would give it 5 stars if I could!

A very nice Thai restaurant. We eat at Thai Grille regularly and my kids love it. Many menu items are marked with vegetarian options and the owner is always open to discussing vegan options. The owner's use local and organic menu items.
