Best veggie roast in Leeds

I love this place, super chilled little spot in Leeds that’s more of a drinks bar than a restaurant but they do do a banging veggie roast (maybe joint best with Whitelocks) and vegan burgers on their burger menu.

Lovely roast

Had a great sunday roast here. We used to go to The Reliance but they've changed hands and appear not to have any vegan options at all anymore! This more than makes up for the loss. Tables are a bit smaller but food is just as good or better. Only room for improvement- no vegan yorkshires! Maybe in future. If you're dying for a vegan yorkie then head to Wapentake.

Pros: Lovely vegan sunday roast

Cons: No vegan yorkshire pudding

Not The Brunswick Shoe Warehouse

Only people from the North of England will relate to my title. I bought a few pairs of cheap rubbish shoes from the Brunswick Shoe Warehouse back in the early 2000s. This pub in Leeds has nothing to do with it by the way. It's just the name that has any commonality. The Brunswick is in a great part of Leeds, only a few metres away from the fantastic Hansas Vegetarian Gujarati restaurant and the adjoining Reliance pub. We popped in for a drink on a very sunny Saturday afternoon after a late breakfast at The Global Tribe Cafe. Whilst £9.50 for a pint of German craft Pilsener and a bottle of Timmermans raspberry beer isn't cheap, we appreciated the surroundings and decor to the full. A quick look at the menu saw quite a few vegan options including a vegan Sunday roast. They also have some decent special offers during the week such as £2.75 a pint happy hours and a burger and a pint for £9. The Brunswick is my kind of bar. Great crack, great beer, great vibes.

Pros: great beers, nice coffee, cool interior

Cons: meat on the menu

Pub with well thought about menu.

Beautiful new bar just up North St in town. Really relaxed atmosphere with an awesome selection of beers. Extra seating upstairs out of the way of the bar.

All seaonal and local produce, although they do serve meat, the menu is really clearly labeled as vegetarian or vegan, and not just typical "non-meat" type meals. They always seem to have a vegan special on too. Staff extremely helpful and flexible too!

I got the vegan chowder which was thick and delicious, with chips and a pint.
