A little taste of home!

We ate at the Chip Shop in Confolens after visiting the Reclamation Yard nearby (also recommend!). It was such a pleasant surprise to find vegan options in a rural French village! There were vegan pukka pies ('chicken' or 'steak') and also vegan burgers and I think sausages, plus the chips and mushy peas were all vegan. We had the pukka pie, chips, peas and a gherkin and it was absolutely delicious. There are a few tables outside and we thoroughly enjoyed having lunch there. Staff were really friendly and we'd definitely return! It's about an hour from where we now live in France (originally from the UK) and we'll definitely visit again for a treat and taste of home!
