Superb breakfast - Edit
Four of us had differing dishes here - all very good quality and served with a smile. The full breakfast includes avocado on toast along with the standard items and is superb!

Best vegan place for miles - Edit
This cafe is my local and I've been going regularly since it opened around 10 years ago.
Read moreThe food is always fantastic quality and usually pretty healthy. Their regular menu has quite a few wraps, a rainbow salad bowl, some toasted ciabattas, as well as a couple of really tasty different all-day breakfast meals, among others.
The staff are really friendly and full of character.
The cafe can get pretty busy at times, as it's quite small, but takeout is always an option.
I'd love to see some new additions to the permanent menu, perhaps some of the popular specials.
In an area of the country which isn't usually the most vegan friendly, the Good Apple stands out clearly above the rest.
Pros: Great food, Fantastic staff, Weekly specials
Cons: It's small and it can get busy

More like the Amazing Apple - Edit
My buzzband and I had to brave the city today and I definitely wanted to check out this place and I'm so glad we did.
Read moreIts a lovely little place, very relaxed atmosphere with so many food and drink options to choose from. Anyone asking the dreaded 'vegan, but what do you eat?' question, needs to check out this place for just a taste of the delicious options you can enjoy as a vegan.
I tried the special banh mi and also the roasted cauliflower soup. Both of which were delicious. We also tried the 'dirty' sweet potato fries. [We got a little carried away but managed to fit it all in].
The dessert was delicious. I had the raw 'snickers' bar but also tried the pecan brownie. So tasty, but without being too sweet.
Also, nicest matcha latte I've ever drank.
Highly recommend this place if you're in the area or even as a special trip.
This is an apple you definitely want to take more than one bite out of.
Pros: Excellent food, Great portions, Lovely staff
Cons: Small cafe so can fill up quickly at busy times

Lovely café with excellent food - Edit
This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last! Great menu with lots of choice, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We both chose the burger, one of the specials, and it was delicious! I am not a fan of burgers which are very meaty in texture so this was lovely as it was all veggies, with plenty of accompaniments in the bap, served with fries and coleslaw. Even though it was a generously-sized meal we managed to squeeze in some delicious carrot and walnut cake and a coffee. Both of which were excellent.

Gorgeous brunch and great brownies - Edit
I ordered the full breakfast and it came with the best scrambled tofu I've ever tasted. I usually hate the texture, but it had little crispy edges and it was absolutely delicious. The pecan brownie I had after was pretty scrumptious too!

On a stormy rainy day, we decided to travel down to Sunderland on the metro card that we already had, and it turned out to be the best decision ever!

Delicious food - Edit
Received a warm welcome from the team at this little gem. There's at least 12 seats with tables and the option is there to takeaway too. There is a menu for food and specials and drinks are on boards. I struggled to choose a meal because everything sounds so delicious. Eventually I went for the tempeh burrito. I can honestly say this was the most flavoursome burrito I've ever had. I could have eaten another but had to try their homemade cakes which were also delicious. I don't get to visit Sunderland much but will try include another visit when I'm passing that way.

First visit didn’t disappoint - Edit
Finally visited for the first time today. The soup was delicious as were the 2 different wraps we sampled. We even had room for cake, loved the brownie but the lemon cardamom and pistachio was my favourite. We will definitely back, only sad I didn’t take any pictures because my 14 month old was too busy distracting everyone and enjoy her food.
