Above and beyond - Edit
Went to try the bbq fried ‘chicken’ sandwich but was told they ran out! We expressed some disappointment and tried to settle on a beyond burger..

Disappointing - Edit
The Thai chicken burger is probably one of the most bland burgers I've ever eaten, despite apparently having both blue cheese and Thai chilli lime sauce on it. Both were apparently absent. The chick'n patty had a weird aftertaste. The vegan bun was also their gluten free option (I wish I had known, because it was dense and not fun to eat), and they only had one bun left, so my husband had to go without.
Read moreThe vegan poutine was the only redeeming factor here, even if it WAS just fries with gravy.

Pros: Has a vegan menu (you have to ask for it)
Cons: Ran out of vegan buns, Bland, VERY over priced - $17 😬 for a burger

Hops spot is my all time go to, they have the best vegan burgers and poutine! - Edit
I loooveee hops spot so much. They even have vegan poutine which is so good, and I’ve never really liked poutine before trying it here! I would love if they added a new vegan burger because I’ve tried all of them and they’re all delicious, but I would love to try even more if they switched up the menu at all. The Vegan Tex Max burger is my favorite! Also amazing Long Island teas, such as the electric Long Island

Many Options - Edit
They have their own vegan menu with much more vegan options than you would find at a non-vegan restaurant. My husband and I both got beyond-meat burgers and while they were good, they were not great. They were not worth 17$ each as we could/have made better tasting beyond meat burgers at home before. They did have many other options including vegan poutine, salads and vegan “chicken” entrees which we didn’t try. We will certainly go back and try the restaurant again. However A for options!

Separate Vegan Food and Dessert Menu! - Edit
I was really excited to see that The Hops Spot has a separate vegan menu. This made it a great choice for me and my very omnivore friend when she was in town for a visit.
Read moreI ordered the Vegan Stampede and thought it was very tasty. The fries were also great. We liked the atmosphere and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back!
Pros: Separate vegan menu, Vegan dessert menu!

Solid choice - Edit
I am a huge fan of Montreal and their poutine so I indulged and chose 3 different ones: Vegan Classic, Vegan Frites, and Vegan Alamo. The veganaise dips that came with the Frites (garlic/thyme) and the Alamo (chipotle) were outstanding. The house vegan gravy with the Classic was nothing near what I expected (cheesy, chunky). Don't bother ordering this one. The Alamo with its avocado and jalapenos was my absolute fave. We also order a Beyond Beef, Eh? and it was good, but plain. Next time I'll order one of the other 3 three Beyond Burger options.

CHANGE THE SMALL MENU FOR ONCE - Edit
Good option but they never change their vegan menu. Stopped eating there because they have so few options on their vegan menu, that not changing them around makes for a boring dining experience.

Great food and selection! - Edit
We were taking our aunt out who wanted a burger- happy cow to the rescue! She was happy AND we were happy. Separated vegan menu, gluten free options and great atmosphere. I got the health nut salad and my bf got a beyond meat burger he customized to his liking! The fries rocked but the gravy for the poutine was so-so. A little too salty for me.

Not very impressed - Edit
I appreciate that they have a vegan section on their menu, but vegan cheese would vastly improve their selection. For example, the vegan poutine was basically gravy fries. The beyond burger was okay, nothing I couldn't make at home myself for cheaper.
