Distinctly Average - Edit
They've got a separate Vegan menu: Great. However, the main dishes were distinctly average! A 'Hearty Salad' sounds great, it just wasn't. Redeemed by discovering a childhood fave for £2 jelly and icecream vegan style! (I now feel happily regressed).

Pretty bad. Avoid! - Edit
I was excited to see a vegan menu with vegan dessert options.
Read moreI had the quorn katsu. It was poor quality and 50% of the plate was peas. I love a wetherspoon katsu nugget meal, but the Leaping Salmon version lacked sauce and the rice was over cooked.
I'm not sure why I braved a dessert, but warm Bakewell tart with vegan ice-cream was too tantalising. Sadly the tart arrived so hard that I had to use both hands on my spoon to break it . Probably just microwaved for too long. Friendly locals erupted into a shouty disagreement. Avoid!
Pros: Vegan options
Cons: Poor quality

Fine in an emergency - Edit
Quite boring wethersooons type place with TV screens blasting sports for some reason. I'm sure you could do a lot worse, but in the case of requiring a hot meal and a pint... This place will suffice. Food stops being served at 8pm though, so be warned that if you like to eat dinner around then, you may run into trouble.

Reach for the stars - Edit
Nice place for a cheap pint and some run of the mill vegan food. The vegan breakfast is always a decent option and the new vegan chikn katsu curry looks quite promising. For groups they also offer a pre-booked vegan buffet for £9.99.

Not bad - Edit
I had a few side dishes instead of one main meal. The food was ok and not a bad place to go with kids for a quick meal.

Variety in vegan options - clearly labelled - Edit
There are four or five specific vegan options for mains - and three vegan desserts. My partner and I were in Berwick for the day and were a bit pushed for vegan options and this place really delivered.
Read moreFor mains there's a curry, burger, cottage pie, and a no steak and ale pie. Also a couple of starters / sides including loaded nachos.
I had the no steak and ale pie with a jacket potato as the vegan potato option. It came with peas and a tasty gravy (no margarine / vegan butter but the delicious gravy made sure nothing was dry!). Partner (vegetarian) had the mac and cheese with jackfruit topping which he said was delicious. We had the vegan apple custard pie/tart for dessert which was surprisingly tasty too! Not the most fantastic food but really decent value and so good to find a place with several vegan options in the area.

Very disappointed - Edit
Choose to eat here as need omni options for child with sensory issues around food. However whilst they have vegan options on menu there was no plant based milk available for my coffee.
Read moreLentil and root vegetable bake was very bland and came with side of veg which was included rubbery carrots.
Won’t be back

Good service & vegan / veggie options. - Edit
Our food came quickly and although it’s chain pub fare it was great with clearly marked vegan and veggie options. I had the plant based burger with nachos as the vegan option and the 3 other veggies had burger with chips, fake steak pie & foot long nachos. Everyone was happy with their food and it was a very reasonably priced meal for 4 with drinks

Pub With Vegan Options! - Edit
Think along the lines of Wetherspoons and that's what this pub is. Order on an app and food comes served to your table or order at the bar. A decent selection of vegan options including a couple of starters, some mains and 2 different desserts (sticky toffee pudding and apple pie with custard!).
Read moreI went for the double stacked soya burger with a side of nachos (chips are vegetarian but not vegan) and enjoyed it.
