Also has a large selection of sweet pastries, cookies, brownies, as well as coffees and milkshakes. Open Mon 11:00-16:00, Wed-Fri 11:00-16:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-16:00. Closed Tue. (Sometimes closed due to catering or traveling to events. Check Instagram for updates.)

Very close to city centre - check it out - Edit
The pie & mash here is amazing, perfect for winter weather. Plus a wide range of cakes and pastries. Sit in or takeaway - one of only a handful of vegan-owned businesses left in Cardiff.
Read moreIt's only a few minutes walk from central station - quicker than going across to Queen street or other places in town from there - so head over and check it out.

A lovely addition to the centre right over the bridge. I had the peanut butter marshmallow cookie which was soft but chewy and gooey and just lovely. My partner had the steak n ale pie and absolutely loved it.

Cozy café with the best pastries - Edit
A cozy, inviting space (that smells absolutely heavenly!) located in Cardiff City Centre. A great selection of pastries and sweet treats, lovely coffees and teas. The perfect spot to grab something on your way to the park. Looking forward to coming back to try the pie and mash box, it looked amazing!

The Pie Box new shop front - Edit
The Pie Box finally has a shop front in Central Cardiff! Have loved visiting them at farmers markets and events over the years, super happy to see they finally have a permanent location. Stocked full of their famous pie and mash, but also lots of new delicious pastry treats and baked goods. Everything is made from scratch and 100% vegan, so glad to have this place as a regular stop, can't recommend enough!

Wow just passed by accident. Sign outside says plant based. Went in and got the following:

Basically the best pastries I have ever tasted even my two friends agreed and one who was not vegan was very impressed. Lady was happy to spilt each item 3 ways so we could share it.
Individually they appear to be pricy but they have a reduced box from the previous days left overs for £10.
Definitely recommend and will come again.
Shame they only open Fri-Sun
Pros: 100% Vegan, Tasty
Cons: Pricy, Gluten, Limited opening days.
