Energetic Owner, Great Food (For the Price) - Edit
The first thing that is clear from walking in, aside from the fact that this place is very popular, is that the owner loves what he does. Constantly conversing with customers and bantering with his staff, it was great to see someone their passion. As for the food, you really can’t go wrong. For less than a tenner I got the three veg curries on offer that day (potato, cabbage, lentil), rice, a bhaji and a samosa. The latter of these was actually outstanding, and while the curries weren’t world-beating, they were more good enough given the cost.

Brilliant - Edit
I love the food here and have been countless times across several years. The veg curries are always vegan. They have three different veg curries each day and they offer a good variety. It’s not the nicest place to sit but it’s ok and designed to be a quick eat and leave place. The prices are very reasonable.

Tasty, filling, cheap! - Edit
Super cheap big plate of food, just ask for the vegan options. I got rice with three different types of curry, very flavorful and diverse.

3 curry and rice for £6 - Edit
A great place for the hungry and skint of Manchester, hidden away down a side street. Three huge portions of vegan curry plus rice for just £6. Only downside is the lack of vegetable content we were given as all three veg curries were either potato- or pulse-based. Also, be aware that this place doesn’t serve alcoholic drinks.
