Ok

I absolutely love Himalayan/Tibetan food, so was very ready to give a glowing review. Unfortunately the food wasn’t as good as hoped 🖤

Note for vegans: The momo sauce contains yoghurt, kind of like a watered down raita using dahi. Usually it’s a tomato-based sauce, so this took me by surprise as a vegan. I’d recommend asking them to switch it out upon ordering if you’re vegan. The veggie momo themselves are filled with spinach and cabbage - not my favourite combination but nice enough, just a little plain.

The keema thukpa broth was yummy. The protein topping took me by surprise as I was expecting tofu but the texture was like halloumi. I’ve never had it before but I think it’s chenna, which is kind of like an Indian soy paneer - vegan friendly. The final thing that took me by surprise was the fact that the noodles in the broth tasted and looked like Italian spaghetti as opposed to rice noodles. I’m unsure if they were catering to a French audience, or whether this is traditional - I’ve never had that style of noodle when eating Tibetan food before.

The staff are lovely and it seems like a popular spot. I wish I loved it more than I did!
