Best Junk Food Fix!

Seriously the best chilli cheese fries I have ever had! I actually get sad if i go somewhere else and order veg chilli cheese fries cos i only want the two bit villains ones and nothing will live up to theirs! The creamy soda is amazing, the staff are lovely. I always leave this place a few kilos heavier and extremely happy.

Pros: chilli cheese fries, creamy soda

affordable

The first sign that things were not to be a magical experience was that I had to wait at the counter for several minutes to order and be seated, as the sole server had to take food out to tables and clean. I was placed at a table for three, which thankfully was the only table where the seats had backs. However I was then approached by several people asking if seats were available as there was a line out the door and people were being turned away. By the time my food came out after twenty minutes or so, I felt quite bad for taking up space. It was also quite noisy, between people talking and the music, which was a bit overwhelming. I wasn't able to find serviettes or salt and the floor had some crumbs and the chairs had holes in. My fries were cold when I received them, and the cheese on my hot dog had not melted very well. It was very large and I was only able to eat half. I was allowed to take the rest home in a plastic container. Hopefully when they move into their new location some of these things will be fixed, but I will have second thoughts about trying them again.

Pros: affordable

Cons: noisy

Little Gem in Adelaide

One of my favourite vegan friendly places in Adelaide, I love the style, the atmosphere and the food is very delicious 50's style American but vegetarian with vegan options! I love that they are super accommodating of vegans, they go out of there way to include us and that's why they are one of my favourite places!
I think their prices are really reasonable, the staff are wonderful and knowledgable, I am a huge fan of their turkish delight iced tea, their milkshakes and their fries! Some people don't like really salty chips, and they do come with a bit of salt, so if you don't like that, order less salt. Personally for me, i LOVE the saltyness! the chilli cheesefries (vegan of course) are amazing, they do vegan onion rings and great veggie burgers.
Do yourself a favour and get into Two-bit villians :)

Pros: Reasonable prices, Best fries in Adelaide

So-so experience

The onion rings were tasty, very salty but still good. Traditional mustard and sauce accompaniments were good, pity the onion rings were too big to fit.
Veggie burger was so average. Think fast food sesame bun, plain mushy pattie, some avo and salad. There wasn't even vegan cheese on it!
The choc peanut butter shake was really tasty.

High expectations

The reviews on here had set my expectations high but I was disappointed. It's the sort if place which is awesome because vegan milkshakes and burgers are awesome rather than being awesome in its own right.

I had the soy burger, it was pleasant but I've had a lot better. The sauce was really nice, a more subtle BBQ flavour. The burger was too mushy for my liking, there was no real firmness to it. I suspect it was gluten free. It's all very nice to cater for different diets but I love gluten and think you can't make a properly good soy burger without it. I also had potato tots which were crispy on the outside but lacking fluffiness on the inside. The only flavour to them was salt. The portion size was good, I left full but not stuffed

I then had a strawberry milkshake which was again pleasant but not amazing. For the price of it expected more creamy and/or strawberry flavour.

The place is well located even if you'd never find it if you didn't know it was there. There's not a lot of seating so it might've wise to book on busier nights. Done as a beach shack but without being cheesy so it works well.

My food was ready super quick as was everyone else around me. But otherwise service was lacking. It was friendly and seemed well intentioned but a bit incompetent. There was nobody out front most of the time, not everyone was given napkins, no water offered or obviously available, food was half thrown at me between serving customers at the register and a load of little things like that.

I really like that this place exists and I want it to do well. I might even go back and try something else. But at the same time there is room for improvement.

Excellent hidden alternative

I Have been just once. I went with a carnivours by nature, he was a bit dissapointed when we found out there were not "meat" alternative for whose who are not vegeterian (but this is my fault) anyway, he ordered the Sloppy Joe and I ordered the Gluten free Veggie burger.
Believe it or not, until now he said it is the tastiest burger he has ever tried! he was that happy that we are planning in going back just for that burger. Mine was not that special, gluten free bread could be better, it seems like just white toasted bread. The tomato relish was very good though.
Place is nice and funky. The service is excellent and in general the environment is really nice.
The bad thing is we could not managed not to drop all over the plate, I guess it could be organised in a way which is easy to do a big bite. It wasnt the case, but I definitely come back again

Pros: Tasty, Vegan and Gluten Free alternatives, Nice environment

Cons: Hidden Place, Could get really messy by eating it

Love this place. Great place to visit... they're 100% vegetarian with everything on the menu being able to be made vegan (and MOST is able to be gluten free too).

Awesome place to take people who aren't vegetarian/vegan etc too as they're very welcoming and friendly and not pretentious at all!!

My favourite vegan eat out in Adelaide

For starter i love that theres seperate menus, no need to scan through and ordinary menu for vegan options. Lots of vegan option which was great. The sodas are to die for, especially the cream soda.omg.so good. The seatings a bit weird on those high tables. Loved the BLT with onion rings...mmm.

Pros: Delicious junk foodness, seperate menus

Cons: seating, small area

Funky, quiet hideaway

I would NEVER have found this place if not for Happy Cow. It's a very funky little out-of-the-way joint that also sells rockabilly/hipster clothing, upstairs in the Adelaide Arcade. Service was fine, the strawberry float to die for, but the vegan nachos were a little ordinary. I mean how good can cheeseless nachos possibly be?? They should totally get some soy or nut cheese! It 's great that they have a separate vegan menu though - makes things very simple! My friend had a veggie burger that was pretty good. I'll go back to try some different dishes real soon!

Pros: price, funky atmosphere, fast food
