Weird white food - Edit
All of the food was very pricey and was very weird. Like the sushi burrito was a sushi roll in a tortilla and the sushi was filled with tomatos and sweet pickles? It was okay but it was something you could slap together for less then $2. For the price it really wasn't worth it. We got like 4 things off the menu and we didn't like any of them so I wouldn't really recommend.

Pretty good - Edit
We got the breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza, and pancakes. The pancakes and sandwich were really good. The pizza was okay, the main issue is the crust was soggy and you couldn’t actually pick a piece up, it would just collapse. It took a little bit for the food to come out as well. The people were really nice!

I tried - Edit
Maybe it was the time. Visited this place at 8:30 am on a Saturday. Doesn’t seem that early but they had no pastries/ scones. Guys said it was “too early”. Took 20 minutes to get 3 coffees. Folks next to us threw their waffle away. When guy served it he said “sorry we are having trouble with our waffle machine”. Then don’t serve it/charge for it!!!! The worst was they were omnis trying to move more vegan and this place set them back a long way.

Amazing!!! - Edit
I love that this place is open 24 hrs but I love the versatility of their menu. There’s a lot of things you can’t get bring vegan unless you want to make it yourself. There menu offers all the vegan cuisines I’m usually craving but too lazy to make. lol. The food is awesome and the service and employees are amazing!!!

Good food, but often out of items. - Edit
The food I’ve tried here is great! Amazing vegan lasagna, quesadillas, and a vegan Caesar salad. Plus a chai iced tea! But they are always out of something when I order for pickup. You have to go in flexible because you may not get what you want!

Very nice experience overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I had a protein bowl with the best tofu scramble I’ve ever tasted! I didn’t have any, but they had an extensive coffee and tea drink menu as well.

Late night snacks! - Edit
So grateful for Urban Beans! They have been a late night go to! It used to be such a struggle to find a vegan snack option in the evenings. They do run out of foods by then often, but there's usually something available. I am always looking for their Pozole! So good!

Delicious - Edit
Super cute all vegan spot! Lovely customer service, and delicious fooood!! The Quesadilla is a must try cause their homemade cheese is awesome. The barista was kind enough to make me a London Fog, which I was so grateful for. It wasn't something on the menu, but when I asked if it was a possibility, she was more than happy to whip one up ♥️ So, if you're a hangry vegan at 2:43am, you should put on some dang pants, and go to Urban Beans for lots of delicious food n' beverages!

No allergy warning - Edit
Food is good except finding out what has nuts in it is difficult and the staff doesn't know what has nuts in it either. Beware eating here if you have a nut allergy. The place is also dirty. It doesn't look like they sweep and the walls need paint badly. I'm wondering if they clean at all. They definitely dont wipe the tables down after people eat.

24 hours and vegan! - Edit
I want to love this place. I mean it’s a 24 hour vegan coffee shop, after all. And the food is quite good! I had a scone and pancakes (don’t judge). But there is some room for improvement. They only had almond and soy milk when I was there. Do people order soy milk?! I prefer coconut or oat and they had neither. The service left something to be desired. The guy at the counter was not on his A game. They also give you a big stack of pancakes with a tiny thing of syrup that didn’t taste like maple (or at least not good maple syrup). The place itself is a little grungy. It seemed like it needed a good sweep and maybe a fresh coat of paint. That being said, I’ll be back because, it’s a 24 hour vegan coffee shop!

Well, it’s all vegan! That is good. But then organic... eh.. not so much. Lots of choices? hmm kinda.. disorganized? lkinda that too. I do see a PNW vibe as someone said below.. but less together. breakfast scramble was fairly good. portion size is good

I want to love it, not sure I do - Edit
I came here really excited to pick food off of an all vegan menu. I got the lasagna and my friend got the other pasta dish just under that. On the menu it had an extensive description (3 home made cheeses and sausage) that made the $9 lasagna seem so worth it. Once eating it, I didn’t taste any of the described flavors...no cheese and no meat. My friend’s dish also looked amazing but it was extremely bland and under salted. I’m waiting to give my final review on yelp because I want to give this place a second chance before giving it low ratings. They did have really great coffee (my friend got the roasted marshmallow latte and it was incredible if you like sweet coffee) and many pastries in the shop, they are also 24/7 and have a bar!

Decent food, free Wi-Fi, Open 24 Hours - Edit
I came here looking for a place to study and found a lot more. It’s got a nice vibe that’s very mellow so you can have a conversation or you can study and work on your computer if you need a space that’s agreeable. The bar against the window has outlets too (which was really nice) so you can charge your devices. They have inside seating and outside seating. I was there late and they were still serving food. Whether it was smoothies, coffee, pastries/desserts, soup, tacos, or a few other choices, they really are open 24 hours. Wi-Fi was quick and easy to access. The password is on a little chalkboard by the register. The servers are nice, food is all good, I’ve tried the muffins, scones, smoothie, and soup which were all delicious. Their scones and soup though were particularly good. You can also take anything to go, they put it in a “to-go” coffee cup if that’s what you decide to do for a soup or curry. You can also order pies there for the holidays, and they have a bar too with beer on tap. I’ll definitely be coming back here for snacks and study time.

Came back here to give this place another shot and was a little underwhelmed by the food and service. They also offer some things that are not listed on the menu like pancakes now, and even when I asked the cashier said they didn’t really have any breakfast items. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here after all when I’ve found other places that I like better even if they are a lot further of a drive.
Pros: All vegan, Decent prices, Open 24 hours
Cons: Decent food, Okay service, Menu doesn’t list all offerings

Big disappointment - Edit
I got back at home hungry! The food was super spicy. The sauce over the kale salad was super hot, the squash soup was very spicy too. I had to order a bowl of extra rice and poured only a tablespoon of the soup over it in order to be able to consume something different than plain rice. I think they use the same hot sauce on everything. Also, the place was very dirty – dirty floors, dirty bathroom. I wonder when do they clean if it is open 24/7? The menu was very limited. Oh, and the prices!!! $10 for an over-spiced salad at a such type of place?
Read moreWe had to eat at the bar, with my husband standing without a chair, because the place was full of college students who were working on their laptops at the tables or browsing their phones without eating. The only “dinners” or “try-to-be-dinners” was our group of 4 people.
I do not think this place will stay in business for so long.
Cons: dirty, unpleasant, over-spiced food, unhealthy vegan, limited options, overpriced food

Eh - Edit
I love that there is a 24 Hour vegan cafe in Phoenix, but the quality of their food leaves something to be desired. I don’t mind spending money in food that is organic, delicious, and skillfully made, but their food is not worth the price point. It’s just okay. If you need a vegan meal in the middle of the night, this will suffice, but there are plenty of better options in Phoenix.

Great vegan food. - Edit
We tried the lasagna, calzone and pasole. Everything was very good. The pasole was more spicy than anticipated, but it did clear my sinuses. Several items pictured on Happy Cow were not on the menu. Sad about that because they looked delicious.

Absolutely love this place, the lasagna, enchiladas, posole and barbecue Jackfruit bake are all delicious, you can't go wrong with any of them. So happy to hear that they'll be all vegan here in the near future. Hope that's the case, either way it's a wonderful place. Staff is always super friendly as well

Nice vegetarian coffee shop - Edit
Manager reports that starting in January 2018 they hope to go all vegan. All baked goods are vegan; they use cheese in some menu items and have dairy available for coffee. They no longer have made to order meals. Everything is preprepared. When we cane, the only two “eats” options were pesto and lasagna. We split the lasagna, which was very tasty. We split a vegan carrot cake cupcake that was delicious. Staff very friendly. There’s a nice vibe in the joint, with lots of folks hanging out. Did not experience anything like the bad experience reported by the previous reviewer.

Great selection of baked goods - Edit
There were a lot of vegan baked goods to choose from- I had an espresso brownie that was really nice. The blended coffee drinks are also very good. We came in at about midnight on a Sunday night and hung out on the patio for a few hours. I'm really glad we stopped here!
