It was Ok. - Edit
This place has one menu. You pay a fixed price (8.5€ I think) for appetizer which was a cold mushroom soup, for main dish you had to choose one out of three- I chose the lasagna and desert. Overall- I didnt like how everythimg tasted.

Fabulous! - Edit
We ate here twice during out stay in Madrid. There is more of a happy hour/tapas menu served until 7 or 8pm when the full menu is offered. Everything was amazing and we ate a lot! The Burrata tapa is very filling and delicious. We also really loved the Smoked pumpkin soup. Wanting to try Spanish cuisine we also had the vegan version of a black rice with “squid” dish – super tasty.

Yummy Vegan Food - Edit
Vega is located in the heart of Madrid. The tapas and desserts are really yummy. Their weekday menu has a great variety of yummy vegan options. The decor includes beautiful tiles and is very creative. I highly recommend Vega.

Not good in my opinion - Edit
I personally really disliked it. we went for lunch and they took more than 40mins to prepare the two soups we had ordered and 30 mins to bring the nuts and dip we had.
Read moreThe guacamole seemed really old and malty, it prickeled on the tongue while eating, the nuts were overly salty -unfortunately not eatable-
The first waitress was really impolite, although the second waiter was super friendly.
Pros: Half of the staff was extremely polite & friendly
Cons: Half oft he staff was really impolite

Amazingly Delicious! - Edit
Four of us shared the following tapas: Jackfruit tacos, roasted potatoes, chickpea & tofu Saams, and lasagne. Everything was fabulous - particularly the jackfruit. The staff was friendly and the ambiance very local neighborly.

Wonderful food and service - Edit
Came here for their lunch meal that included an appetizer, 1-2 main courses (depending on your preference), dessert, and a drink. I chose 2 main courses totally €14.90 for my entire meal. What an awesome deal considering the quality of the food! The service was also great. I don’t remember the other workers’ names, but all were friendly and Anothony was one who went above and beyond with customer service. I’m very glad I came here on my last day in Madrid :)

Found when visiting Madrid - Edit
The food was delicious and uniquely plated. It makes you feel like your are eating something that’s really special. Dinner not served until 8 and that’s early. But it’s worth waiting and eating there.

Value for money and so tasty - Edit
This place fills up quick and understandably so. For 8.50€ you get 3-course meal, bread and drink! Even my non-vegan husband enjoyed it immensely. I would definitely return to Vega should I come back to Madrid.

Best vegan restaurant in Madrid - Edit
ENG/ESP
Read moreIn my opinion, the best vegan restaurant in Madrid. They have a lot of different options with fresh flavor combinations and all of them are amazing. It’s also a great place to take non-vegan people and show them how amazing vegan food can be. They no longer take reservations.
Pros: Everything is so good, Really nice staff
Cons: Don’t take reservations

Giving 5 stars purely for the chocolate mousse which was fantastic. Had the “chilli con carne” with homemade guacamole which was good. Great vegan food near the centre of Madrid.

Well-deserved reputation - Edit
I know this restaurant since its opening a few years ago. Its dishes have been always amazing and still absolutely are, so its reputation has never stopped growing. This is why it's become so, so difficult to get a table here. They used to accept reservations on the weekends only, but not anymore. So my suggestion is: get here early, before 1:30pm, or be ready to wait. Our waitress was a bit pushy and tried to rush us a little. We managed to keep her under control, though, and we all enjoyed our superb meal. BTW I'm not a connoisseur of wines at all, but we tried a couple of them and they were kind of second rate. Anyway, I still think eating here (or at least trying to) it's absolutely worth it.

Fixed menu, with tree options of main dishes, includes appetizer and dessert, as well as drinks (juice, wine, water...). February 2019 it was 8.50 Euros. For EU$ 11.90 you could have two mains.

Trato desagradable/agobiante, menos comida - Edit
Read morePedimos arroz negro y curry.
