One of the best experiences - Edit
I attended a dinner organised by the Vegan Sundays' Chef, in a different location. It was a 3-course dinner with desert. The desert was just like "the cherry on top".

Creative, surprising and delicious - Edit
I have been to two of Alexander's events and both times I really loved it. His kitchen is very creative and the way he redefines traditional dishes is very interesting - and delicious. He often selects special locations as well.
Read moreLast time I joined his "Vegan Oktoberfest" dinner (in fact it was a combined action with a non-veg initiative, "Pop-up Restaurant Amsterdam") at the former shipyards, now museum "Museumwerf 't Kromhout" in Amsterdam.
The dining took place at wonderfully decorated tables among a big collection of old ship engines, there was still a slight smell of diesel and lube oil in the air. I suspect the place has been selected also because the owners of the museum have a microbrewery and beer is of course part of an "Oktoberfest". And the beer was good here!
The dishes were inspired by German dishes, but modified in a way that a German would not necessarily recognize them as something linked to Germany - apart from the onion pie maybe. But everything was very tasty. The whole event was very stylish. There was life-music as well, including brass instruments, with a more classic style (not the "Oktoberfest" one) which was pretty nice as well.
The only downside that evening was that the dinner started later than announced and some people from outside the city (including myself) missed the dessert because they had to catch their train...
This is just an impression of one of the events - I am sure the next one will be totally different - but still inspiring, creative and with a lot of delicious vegan food!
Pros: delicious food, creative kitchen, interesting locations
Cons: could start and end a bit earlier
