Read moreWe had the bao buns both times. They are EXCELLENT! Highly recommend. My husband had the beet risotto, and I had one of the specialties on the menu—a risotto with eggplant, tomato, and cheese, though I can't remember the exact name. Honestly, I didn't really care for it because it was very oily, but it was okay. The soup, the appetizer, and the friendly service made up for it. The second time we went, he had the ramen and I had the pumpkin and sage gnocchi, and it was excellent.
It was really nice to see how busy they were, and their hours are great—open late until 11pm. I would definitely go back!

This is one of the best vegan restaurants I have ever experienced. Everything was so tastefull. We had the dumplings and baobuns as appetizer. As main dish we had the pumpkin gnocci and the tom yum ramen. As desert we had the choco banana cake.

Tasty food and quickly done - but with love! Creative dishes that you won't find everywhere: I had the Nasi Goreng first and came back for Gnocci with Pumpkin. The people working there were very nice and helpful when I has a question about a dish.

In spite of the HC description, this is not just another vegan burger/wrap/salat place. On the contrary, VegANGELov offers some very interesting and delicious, homemade dishes, and locally made ingredients (like cider from Novi Sad).

Outstanding food, super cute venue, and genuinely warm and enthusiastic service. I hate even calling it service in venues of this calibre. It feels like a conversation between new friends, and someone who is justifiably proud of what they produce.
Who needs luggage, clothes, etc? If I can just eat this kind of food every day, I'm happy waiting months for it to turn up, and nothing's going to fit anyway.

I love the food here so much that I went here for every meal during my stay. The dishes have interesting food pairings and are healthy. My favorite was "Stripor". The veganelov specials all cost between 1000 and 1600 RSD per dish. I can wholeheartedly recommend it!

We shared the mezze to start, perfectly cooked bread with a smooth, punchy tzatziki with a real nice hit of dill.
For main I had the Balkan Ekspres which was exceptional. The salad was fresh and tasty, the aubergine cooked to perfection and the sauce underneath refreshing and tasty. Perfect for a warm summer's day.
If in Belgrade, you must visit this spot.
