Read moreBe ready for stairs, no, STAIRS. Stairs to get to the restaurant, stairs to get to your table on the second floor, stairs to get to the restroom… I understand it’s an old building but be ready for stairs 😵💫
The view from the second floor is great though. But windows are tiny and there’re only two little tables on the small terrace.
Food was tasty and authentic but a bit pricey for what you get. I visited twice, mostly because of good for tourist location.
Svichkova — I wish there was a bit more “meat”, not just sauce and bread. And maybe some vegan cream? The taste was really good though.
Goulash — tasted super simple, soy chunks with cabbage, nothing special.
Caesar salad with tempeh — ok.
Starters plate, avocado tartar — ok but not wow.
5 stars for being fully vegan, not being afraid to put “vegan” in the restaurant name and svichkova.
Pros: 100% vegan , Svichkova is good , Friendly service
Cons: Stairs!!, High prices for simple food. , Maybe because of location?

The vegan versions of traditional Czech food were delicious. The staff was friendly and the rooftop view is amazing! The interior design could be a bit more cozy but we enjoyed a great meal at Vegans’s Prague nonetheless!

Really nice location near the castle and was a perfect escape from the rain for me. Offers several regional dishes which is nice. Food was pretty basic, especially for the price point.

About prices: our main courses are: 11-13 euros and i dont think thats overpriced, we were closed for more than 1 year beacause of covid, our electricity bills are now 3x times more than last year, vegetable is more expensive etc, basically everything is more expensive now, we are just trying to survive and have reasonable prices :)
We hope you will give us another chance in the future :)

Great lunchtime stop - Edit
We were visiting the Castle and Cathedral and stopped off for lunch on the way back down. Quite a climb up stairs to reach the restaurant, but worth it! Really great food and pretty big portions. Was pretty busy but we managed to get a table and the staff were very helpful with the menu and giving us tips on what they recommended.

Location and the restaurant are very nice, however the food itself wasn't as nicely plated as many pictures suggest taste-wise it was closer to a good home made dishes than a fancy restaurant.

Unfortunately we were left a little underwhelmed after eating here. However, we appreciate the effort of making vegan Czech cuisine and we were excited to try. Sadly, we weren’t blown away by the taste and found it somewhat bland. We ordered the Cabbage Goulash, Svickova with Dumplings and the Baked Sweet potato. The Goulash and Svickova had some flavour but the sweet potato was just sweet potato and guacamole. It was also hard in the middle. Additionally we had the Caesar salad and the ‘Greens’. We were disappointed that the Greens were actually just a side salad with very little to no dressing, we thought it would be green vegetables.

I am sorry but our sweet potato is not only sweet potato with guacamole, we put a lot of ingredients in it (coconut,dried tomatoes, garam masala, tomatoes etc...) even Novak Djokovic loved it :)
We always ask our customers twice if everythiing is ok, 1st when you are eating, 2nd when you are paying. If its not ok we can change or cancel your order but you have to talk to us :(
Same goes for our staff. Our priority are our customers and their well-being in our restaurant, so we put our biggest effort into the service.

Le restaurant est au 3e étage. Le personnel est très gentil et l'une des serveuse parle bien français. Les produits sont frais et la salle est jolie. Toute petite terrasse. Malheureusement, les bowls étaient trop secs et manquaient de vinaigrette, le goulasch était assez moyen. Seul le burger était vraiment bon... Vu les commentaires, nous sommes peut-être tombés un mauvais jour?

The appetizer-plate was amazing, and the soup of the day was nice. My friend didn’t really like the goulash though, so maybe watch out for that:) The prices are not the cheapest but overall still felt worth it, would recommend!

Stunning vegan food in a stunning place with a stunning view! Wonderful to have authentic Czech food that was completely vegan - something we were surprised to find many examples of in Prague, of which Vegan's Prague was among the best. Lovely service. Highly recommend the classic svíčková with dumplings and the medovník ('honey', in this case veganised with agave) cake, one of the best vegan cakes we've ever tried!

Amazing food in historical surroundings - Edit
Vegan's Prague offers dishes like burgers, but the reason I come, and where they are unique, are the vegan editions of Czechs dishes. I had a "Svickova with dumplings" (notice that dumplings here are like slices of bread, but made of the same dough as "regular" dumplings). It was a really nice dish, and something really new for me.
Read moreThe restaurant is in an really old and nice buildings, in historical surroundings in the old part of Prague. It adds extra flavour for an historical interested person like me.
The staff is really friendly, so please give them some tips. In Czech Republic the norm is at least 10 %, but I recommend to give Vegans Prague at least 20 % in tips :)

perfect after a visit at the Prague Castle - Edit
the Svíčková was good (maybe a little less salt for the 'meat' pieces) and we were surprised that the goulash was so much on the tomato-ish side, everything was fine and filling though. we liked the location and the staff was very friendly and relaxed. i hope you have enogh energy to climb the stairs, pay attention to the nice leftover medieval(?) paintings at the ceiling too!
