Piccolo locale 100% vegano - Edit

Great vegan place in Busan - Edit
Being at the coast side has its advantages when you love the beach. When it comes to veganism, if you don’t eat fish, it’s a bit more complicated.
Read moreThis place was fortunately close to our accommodation and easy to access by foot.
We went for lunch, since the evening shift stops pretty early.
We went for the basil pasta, bean tofu and shiitake mushroom roll. Every dish was nicely prepared and dressed. The pasta had a nice natural punchy green color and the taste of the basil was well balanced and the pasta al dente. The tofu had a nice slightly grilled texture but still soft from the inside. The dip was a perilla oil soy sauce which was a bit sweet but very soft in the mouth.
The shiitake mushroom roll was nicely filled with 2 types of mushrooms, lettuce, bean, ham, cucumber and brown rice. The homemade vegan mayo teriyaki sauce was a blast. Very nice combination.
I would have loved to dry other items from the menu, but the stomach could not handle more. It will be for another time, who knows!

Lovely Busan Sanctuary - Edit
Came here twice over 2 days - really lovely food. Enjoyed the traditional korean mushroom & tofu stew with brown rice with a side of tofu. Then on day 2 had a mushroom and tofu stir fry. These portions were good for 1 person and reflected in the price. Larger meals are made for sharing and cost more. Highly recommend!

Luxurious Feeling - Edit
I love how this place feels like a luxurious restaurant being on the 9:th floor with sea view and having nice interiors, this not being very expensive at all. I had the avocado rolls which were very nice but a bit too big for me to eat in one bit which made the experience a bit messy. Had a great dinner anyway and I would really recommend this place and their branch in Seoul which serves some of the dishes they have here but in a food court!

Nice experience - Edit
I had a mushroom soup and braised tofu. The soup was delicious and packed with various veggies and ingredients. The tofu was plain and came with a dipping sauce. The ice-cream was sold out so I got the yogourt, it came with different toppings (cocoa powder, chocolate chips, mango…)

Lifesaver in Busan!! - Edit

Fresh and delicious - Edit
What a gem - in a city of meat lovers, to find this little vegan haven. We got there before it was open and were kindly let in early. We ordered the avocado salad, the mushroom sushi roll, the mushroom stir fry and the house made tofu. And some delicious Jeju ade drinks. It was delicious. Would recommend and return. It’s on the 9th floor and has a nice view (especially from the toilets!) Note: doesn’t serve alcohol.

Delicious temple food - Edit
This restaurant is located on the ninth floor of a building and serves delicious temple cuisine. A lot of monks were having lunch there. I had one meal there and it was very satisfying. A taste of everything. It also comes with a small dessert.

Disappointed - Edit
After reading the amazing reviews I went here with my partner. We had the bean cutlet and mushroom soup as they seemed to be the most hyped about dishes. The cutlet was nice, but not very filling. The soup was just not good in our opinion, maybe this will be your taste if you love mushrooms, but for us it was an overkill. There were at least 4 different types of mushrooms in there and a mushroom broth. To us it felt like every bite was the same flavour.
Read moreThe vibes in the restaurant were very fancy, which caused us to expect something better. Also there was a big screen playing ads the whole time which felt very out of place. When my partner had to cough a little, the staff from the kitchen actually opened the curtain to look at him? This made us feel not welcome at all.
We've eaten at better vegan/vegetarian places in Busan, but if you're in need for a vegan meal and in the area it's probably worth it.

Creative and fresh food 🥑 - Edit
Beautiful restaurant located next to the sea. The place is spacious, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! I especially loved the Avocado Rolls, they were so fresh and full of flavor. Many of the dishes feature mushrooms, but in very creative ways, with interesting textures and delicious combinations.
Read moreThe staff were incredibly friendly as well: the chef came over to let us know that they had run out of vegan ham for the Gimbap my partner had ordered, and offered to replace it with their own black sesame tofu mix, which we didn’t mind at all: it was actually absolutely delicious!
The prices are slightly higher than other vegan spots we visited, but still quite reasonable.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be returning on our next trip to Busan. 🤍🌱

Overrated, not for a sigle person - Edit
I read that last order would be at 7.40 pm so I hurried to get there on time and arrived around 7.20 pm. There was no staff so I rang the bell but no one showed up. After 10 minutes finally a young woman showed up and told me they have no seats left (which was a lie, they just didn’t want to let anyone in anymore). I begged a bit because I came all the way and I didn’t know where else to get vegan food in this area. She finally gave me a table but I had to hurry to order before 7.40 pm. I wanted to take the soup with the crispy rice things but she said that’s usually a dish for two people. I asked for the set menu but that’s also not for one person. So I decided for Sushi and Fake meat. I think those are also dishes you usually order to share in a group. So it was a bit too much but only the fake meat or only the sushi would have been too little. The food was good but nothing special. The price was high and in my opinion not worth the experience.

This place is located on the 9 Th floor of a building facing the water.
Read moreI came with a group of nine and ordered the family style. The dishes just kept coming constantly. My favorite was the kimbap, which is like a sushi roll and the fried mushrooms. We had so many mushrooms! Everything was delicious.
For dessert we had soy yogurt with marmalade and a dusting of chocolate powder that was just OK. I wish they had better desserts.
Pros: Mushrooms!!, Kimbap, Generous portions
Cons: Lack of deserts

Taste, Portions, Prices, Super! - Edit
The staff were very, very kind. They gave me recommendations about what might be too much to order. I was skeptical it would be filling enough, but when I finished it was a *perfect* portion. not too full, just perfectly satisfied!
Read moreI couldn't get a new sea/ocean view because of the many others enjoying the food, but I had a nice experience anyway!
I've never had a dish so mushroom centered be so hearty and so filling. Even though I love mushrooms I often feel mushroom based dishes at vegan places often leave me still hungry. And the pickles were outstanding!
Pros: Perfect Portion!!, Delicious food, all ingredients

Tasty Food with Minor Inconveniences - Edit
At our fist visit, we were unlucky since they had an event and only two options were left. However, the spicy soup and fried beancurd were tasty. At our second visit, they had no avocado left, so we couldn't try the avocado rolls. Thus, we opted for the beancurd again because it was delicious and got the mushroom rolls. Those were tasty although the teriyaki sauce was not prominent. The non-alcoholic beer was average and should have been a bit colder.
Read moreWe recommend going there for lunch or at least in the late afternoon to avoid any disappointments.
You can buy some of their mock meat directly at the restaurant and have a fortune cookie as well which are nice touches. The good view towards the sea is restricted to two tables.
