You must visit if you are in the area! The stuffed sopapilla was out of this world! Fried tofu sandwich also the best I've ever tasted. Generous portions and the staff were very helpful and kind.

Great New Mexican cuisine - Edit
We tried the enchilada plate with both green and red chili sauces on the side, and the sopapilla (fried dough) filled with beans, potatoes and seitan. Both dishes were very tasty. The red chili sauce was very spicy.

I could eat here every day - Edit
Vegos does legit scrumptious vegan versions of the New Mexican classics, and the flavors and textures are tops. The Loco Tostaritto is delicious. Their jackfruit burrito, “El Jefe” (apparently no longer on the menu as of mid-2024) was a feast in itself (I ordered it without the rice and potato since I don’t need that much starch, and with the “Make it loco” option, which is rich and yummy).

I’ll come back every time I’m in town.
Enjoy!

I ate lunch here while on a business trip. Had researched this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I had the Sandra burrito and wow, was it tasty. I am going to have dinner here as well so I can try one of the fried tofu sandwiches.

Yummy, quick, inexpensive Mexican! - Edit
Even the $5.50 little burritos are decently sized (and tasty!) Added fries and they were deliciously salty.

Love this place - Edit
I have eaten here several times, but this was my first time at the new location. The food has always been excellent. I love the Chile relleno, the churros, the elotes, etc. Now they’ve expanded their menu and I was so excited to try new stuff I had to grab stuff to go. It’s casual, there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the service is always friendly and efficient.

Excellent! - Edit
We love their burritos and that you can get them as a bowl instead. We also love the Philly and the Chickpea sub. Now that they are co- located with their sister restaurant (Nobody calls me Chicken) deciding what to order will be harder, but deciding which restaurant to go to is easy! Make sure to watch for their special items around the holidays, like tamales!

Yummy but… - Edit
I loved Vegos. The staff were super friendly and there were lots of choices. I had the loaded fries. They were super delicious but I wish the fries were a little bit crispier. Otherwise they were smothered deliciousness. I also ordered a Satan burrito to go for lunch the next day. That was extremely delicious. Recommended.

We were getting into Albuquerque late and ordered food to pick up at the latest time possible, arrived just after close. Food was piping hot and the woman who helped us was incredibly friendly. Each got a burrito - fantastic stop!

Good, but not great! - Edit
My wife has a soy allergy and they cook most of their food in soy oil.
Read moreIts good but could use some help.
All she could get to eat was rice and queso. The rice was bland and the cheese sauce/queso was ok.
I had the El Jefe with red chili sauce and it was pretty good.
They should use a better oil and raise the prices on their menu. Cheap soy oil is not the way to go.
Also a little salt goes a long way.
Pros: The El Jefe is huge.
Cons: Food is cooked in soy oil.

INCREDIBLE! - Edit
I've been a frequent customer at this spot for a few months now. Every single thing I've tried on the menu (most of the items by now) has been fantastic. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy. I would highly recommend either the Sandia burrito or the "Garbonzorizo" breakfast burrito. Did I mention the bang for your buck as well? Fries for $1.75. A HUGE burrito for $9-12.

Really great food! - Edit
While waiting for our food, we ate 3 gluten-free berry empanadas which were delightful. My 7 year old won’t touch vegan cheese, potatoes, or rice. I asked if they could make a plain bean and cheez burrito for her. She absolutely loved it and never questioned the cheez because it was delicious. My husband got the handheld Sandia burrito with tofu and ate it over two sittings. Both had sopapillas and said they were great. No honey - they had a sweet sopa syrup. I’m gluten-free and they made me an El Jefe burrito bowl (no tortilla), without onions (sensitivity). It was gigantic and made two meals. They use lions mane in the burrito, and it was so good, I’m craving another only one day later. I am really sensitive to all food I can’t cook myself, and I didn’t feel sick after eating the food at Vegos. SUPER WIN!!! Amazing vegan food, lots of gluten free options, and the green and red chile were tasty! Highly recommend. #Veganuary
