Fuimos a cenar y pedimos varios platos a compartir: carbonara, focaccia y frittata. La carbonara estaba buena pero escasa de cantidad y la focaccia nos gustó mucho.

Comida rica. Mi pareja se pidió la lasaña y yo la carbonara (que a mi parecer estaba más buena). También pedimos un trocito de foccacia (estaba muy buena, súper esponjosa pero era literalmente un cuadrado chiquitín) y de postre un trozo de bizcocho de chocolate. Teníamos prisa y el servicio fue lento aún siendo pocos en el local. Me pareció un tanto caro para lo que comimos (38€).

Their food feels very high quality. Their homemade mayonnaises taste amazing. Good tiramisu with very little sugar.
Read moreVery welcoming atmosphere thanks to the kind staff. It’s a very spacious and modern place. They even have some screens where I could watch the Olympic Games on.
The staff was very accommodating and accepted orders by the time their kitchen had already officially closed.
They also have some pre-made toasts and sandwiches to take away.
The restaurant is somehow located inside a museum complex and they share the bathroom.

The only vegan in town. Lasagna with veggies is ok, pici alla carbonara was a bit better. Veggies of the day was good, salad was fresh but lacked dressing. Overall, it’s nice, well decorated and spacious.

Sort of a cafe, sort of a fine dining vibe. Slow service for a cafe, but a lot of cafe fare, but plating like a fine dining place. I think this combo is just the Italian vibe! Reasonable prices and a range of choices; I just popped in for a snack and got a 4 euro vegan ham and cheese toast and a 2 euro mini cheesecake.

Nous avons pris l'assiette de fromage à partager. Pas mal du tout ( quand on sait qu'en France il y en a presque jamais) mais 2 des trois se ressemblaient dont un meilleur que l'autre, et le 3ème était un peu fade. À retravailler je pense, il y a du potentiel mais c'est à peu être mieux.
Read moreLe plat de mon chéri était bon mais sans plus, ça manquait de saveurs apparemment (il a pris les boulettes de falafel avec pomme de terre). Pour ma part, j'ai beaucoup apprécié ma lasagne, un ajout de protéine aurait parfait.
Petite note positive pour les desserts (que j'ai oublié de photographier, dommage !), nous étions mitigés sur les douceurs crus (en règle générale ) et nous avons été agréablement surpris par leur goût, texture, saveur, c'était très bien pour clôturer le repas.

Based on the reviews I was very excited to try this place, but I must stay I was a bit disappointed. It wasn’t bad, but the vegan cheese plate was more pâtés than cheese and quite bland, and the carbonara didn’t give off carbonara vibes, but more just spaghetti with curry and 5 small cubes of tofu. The food was fine, but for the price and the small portions (as well as the expectations), I’m not fully convinced - at least from the dishes I tried.

A cute restaurant and the only fully vegan one in Venice mainland. I was very much looking forward to trying their carbonara so I called ahead to make a reservation. Through Google you can also reserve but the website is not 100% accurate as it said they were fully booked, but when I called they had space available.
Read moreMy partner and I tried the bread basket and the cheese platter. Both were nice and clearly home made, superb. Unfortunately they had forgotten to give us the bread for the cheese but I only realised after the fact, I could've asked if I had realised sooner - no problem. We also had the 'meat' balls and these were great, although I believe some leafy greens or veggies would've been a good addition to it. The carbonara, I had very high expectations which were unfortunately not met. Now, a true carbonara taste will be impossible when made vegan, but this version had way too much curry which didn't give me the 'idea' it was carbonara. However, the pasta was cooked to perfection and it was yummy, just not what I had hoped.
We received bottles of water, which I liked because there is a 2 eu cover charge per person, so giving us the water only seemed fair. The waiter was friendly and spoke English, which was great because, regrettably, my Italian is non-existent.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, it has a romantic vibe and the food is good. Grazie, VgOloso!

After reading the reviews I was expecting amazing food..the food was nice but in my opinion was nothing special. In general I felt that it lacked vegetables. The pasta in portions were on the small side. The desert was a chocolate cake...again nice but not amazing and expensive (6€).. maybe I had high expectations.

We had two starters:
A mushroom miso soup. We watched it being prepared and chef was fully focussed on getting the combination of porcini and onions just right. And he did.
We also had a wonderful pastry parcel, the pastry itself was light and buttery but the filling of butternut squash and sage and onion was inspirational. This is a seasonal festive dish
Mains:
The lasagne was exactly how we like it. Packed tomato and tasty pine nuts. Highly recommend
Carbonara, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the faux ham was tasty and salty.
Washed down with a very fruity almond mango smoothie and an oat milk latte
Highly recommend

During our stay in Venice we decided to travel to Mestre on the mainland (Vgoloso is easily reachable from Piazzale Roma by bus in around 15 minutes) to visit this recommended vegan restaurant. We were not disappointed. Especially the typical Italian dishes (pastas, salad) were very well made and tasty, as were the sushi we had as starter. The wine was very nice too. The cake for dessert was not entirely in the same league - it lacked some finesse - but was still good. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and can only highly recommend this place. With that: the owner is a very nice guy who speaks English very well.

Cenato ieri sera prima di andare al cinema. La zona non è comodissima per il centro, ma alla fine è solo un quarto d’ora di passeggiata e il ristorante ne vale la pena: ottima la carbonara e le polpette. Porzioni che saziano, ma che lasciano lo spazio per il dolce.

The food was good (lasagne), but the juice, coffee, ambience and service were fantastic. They also had organic wines and olive oils for sale. Definitely worth checking out or taking the 20 minute walk from Mestre station.
Read moreEDIT: the walk to and from the station doesn't seem the safest. I'd recommend going in a group or only travelling in daylight. Try to avoid the west side of Via Capuccina where it meets Via Stazione.

We had the lasagna (highly recommend), carbonara, steamed vegetables and as a dessert the pudding of the day. We really liked it, our wallets not so much.
