Ordered the Sayur Lodeh. Excellent spices added to the tempeh and stewed vegetables. Probably the best tempeh I’ve ever tasted. Staff was excellent as well. Did not feel like a typical airport restaurant, yet a very welcome location if traveling through the Changi Airport.

Decent vegan options - Edit
It was nice to see a separate plant based menu with clearly marked vegan items. We had the lettuce cups which were delicious. The nasi goreng was also good though a little under seasoned with salt.

The mushroom pong teh was a winner for me- deep earthy flavours, well-braised mushrooms! The British Indian soup was a tad heavy but it really is more of a curry broth to me! Sambal walnut cheese balls were lovely, but not sure if the rennet used is OK. The brinjal dip with belinjio is too salty, what a shame

When asked the staff if the servings are good for how many pax, was advised good for 2. However, the fried rice I would say is good for 1 if you are a big eater. Price is on the higher side and the tauhu goreng was not worth it. Staff were all very attentive and friendly.

Excellent plant based menu! - Edit
After a frustrating airport experience I was so happy to find a full vegetarian menu with plenty of vegan options. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It’s not cheap but it’s Singapore so … par for the course. The menu is labeled “plant based” but it’s actually vegetarian- however vegan options are clearly labeled and the staff is knowledgeable. Can I just say again I was so happy because I was deliriously hungry and tired after not having good food or sleep. Highly recommend!

Divine Peranakan food experience - Edit
Conveniently located in the Jewel complex opposite Changi Airport’s terminal 1, Violet Oon offers an excellent dining experience. The beautifully and tastefully designed restaurant provides a charming ambiance and the service is professional and friendly. The dishes we ordered were delicious.

This place is sooo good! It’s located just outside Changi terminal 3 and you can go whilst in transit >5 hours. Food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Will go back for sure!
