Nearby Gado Gado gets a lot of praise--rightfully so, but Wajan is a bit more comfortable, more low key and has always been just as good if not better. Deserves 5 stars

I ordered the Gado Gado with no egg, which includes blanched vegetables with fried tempeh and tofu topped with garlic peanut sauce and emping (melinjo bean crackers). I don't usually like tempeh, but it was really good. I appreciate that this dish was not spicy, but still flavorful.
