Good food, limited vegan options - Edit
This place offers a few vegan options, and is one of the only Malaysian restaurants in Amsterdam. As far as I could find it is the only Malaysian restaurant I could find that has vegan options. I had the vegan Laksa which was very delicious and filling, though my Malaysian friend said it didn’t look authentic. The place is a bit too touristic and while some staff members are very friendly it isn’t super welcoming. Nonetheless I had a great meal

Good food, portions too small - Edit
In short, great and authentic Malay food, but serving comparably small portions.
Read moreI went there for lunch yesterday. Their lunch menu features a couple of veganised options. I had the veganised versions of the curry soup and the nasi goreng. Both dishes tasted excellent - I hadn't had the feeling there was anything missing in their vegan versions, which says something about the skillfulness of the chef.
The staff was aware of veganism and both helpful and friendly. However, minor mistakes can still happen like serving a cookie with dairy to the coffee.
The portions were a bit too small in my opinion - or the prices a bit too high, even for Amsterdam standards.
Cute nuance: handwritten bill. Loved it!

Many vegan options and super helpful staff.
Read moreI loved trying new flavours so spicy and fresh at the same time. The place is really nice and the atmosphere intimate. I really hope you try it!
The only downside I would say is the not very generous portions but I must also admit that I’ve a huge appetite.
I recommend booking in advance!
Pros: Many vegan options, Cute place and good atmosphere , Friendly staff
Cons: Small-ish portions , Maybe a bit pricey

Best food I ever had! - Edit
Best food I ever had in my life! 🤤 Such a warm and cosy place with a wonderful staff and even more wonderful food ☺️ Many vegan options and to be veganized options they will help you choose and check if it is truly vegan without much input from your side.

Overpriced - Edit
The staff is very nice and helpful, the food isn't bad but it's expensive for what you get. They stuffed up on one thing we ordered, gave us prawns instead of vegan. Would like to see them either up the sizes of the dishes, lower the price, or include seitan/vegan prawns etc. To make it more worth it. I'd also like to see an option for vegan noodles other than laksa... Also they wanted to charge us extra to replace rice with rice noodles which is ridiculous.

Nice little authentic Malaysian restaurant - Edit
Cute restaurant with Malaysian style decor and authentic feel to it. There were maybe 6 vegan options, of which I had tofu satay...it came as skewers of baby corn, tofu, mushroom, pepper and separate home-made satay sauce. Very tasty.

Fairly reasonably priced given central location as well.
