Pretty good pizza - Edit
Based on the reviews of Zachary‘s, we went and tried it last night. A few people have mentioned the spinach and mushroom pizza but the waiter last night told us to be careful as that has butter in it so if you’re vegan, beware.
Read moreWe had a variety of toppings on our vegan whole wheat pizza. Not sure what cheese they’re using, but I’m sure it’s not a good one so if you’re avoiding processed foods try and go without the cheese.
Taste was good… Crust was pretty dense which I suppose is to be expected given whole wheat but still a shame compared to regular Chicago style pizza.
Super nice staff and a pleasant pizza style interior.
I probably wouldn’t go back given the cost of the Chicago pie there.
Haven’t tried the thin crust so I can’t comment about that

Zachary’s is a Bay Area gem and they have some vegan options. The Spinach & Mushroom deep dish pizza with vegan crust and vegan cheese will not disappoint.

Really good vegan deep dish - Edit
They have vegan whole wheat crust and vegan cheese so you can create your own either thin or deep dish pizza. The crust was light and crispy and the sauce was full of flavour. The place was really busy but the service was fast. While your waiting for a table you can pre order your pizza to reduce the wait time overall as the deep dish takes 40mins to bake. Expensive but it’s worth it and even the small pizza is large enough for two people to share
