Zest is also located on a hill, offering another beautiful view. One thing to keep in mind: it's one of the few places in Bali where it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance!
Read moreThe first evening, we hadn't booked a table, but because we arrived very early, we managed to get one of the low tables with cushions on the floor. The second time, we reserved a table by the window, which came with an amazing view.
We tried the pizza, the ramen, and the nasi campur, and everything was absolutely delicious!

We celebrated our anniversary here and were absolutely blown away by the quality if the dishes, the flavours, the value for money and the amazing service which mainly was from Manda. She always paid attention and was amazing overall! She managed to give us a good table that happened to be cancelled shortly before we arrived, this was a great spot and fit for our celebrations.

I went here for dinner. For a vegan restaurant they don’t label anything for allergies you just have to ask and hope what you want has a gluten free option. They also have cross contamination. The food isn’t very good. The lattes are good the chocolate mousse dessert is okay. The sweet and Smokey “infamous [cauliflower] wings” are trash if you have ever had good v/gf cauliflower wings. I at least tried a couple the family next to me that ordered them only ate one. This makes me not want to try anything else on the menu. Half of the menu is fried the other half just doesn’t look very appealing. And definitely overpriced compared to what I have gotten at other vegan restaurants in the area that are way better.

Amazing, filling food with great staff and peaceful atmosphere. I had the jackfruit steak and crushed baby potatoes and a kombucha which was all pretty, damn spesh 😋 bit pricey but you have to treat yourself sometimes. Definitely worth a visit.

I felt rather disappointed here. Nearby plant restaurant has similar prices and bigger portions and super kind staff, which I missed here. Nice to try but Ubud offers more. We had mushroom pizza and burger.

Sadly I’ve only visited this place towards the end of my trip in Bali. I would have loves trying their dishes. The ones that we had were the bomb! Sort of like fusion european asian food. Sweet potato with sauce, bbq jackfruit pizza ( I can’t even describe it in words, it was sooo good) and some wrap. Atmosphere was awesome as well. We’ll definitely come back once we’re in Bali.

So good! Even my non vegan friends said it was the best meal the whole trip! We had the corn ribs, tempura, empanadas, Caesar salad, sliders and Tex mex corn fritter. All were delicious! The atmosphere is also very chill, classy and inviting. Don’t miss it!

I’ve tried a number of times to understand the crowds at this place. I can appreciate that there is a vegan restaurant in the world that feels like a night club at any time of day - because veganism IS cool! However, I always leave feeling literally very thirsty as I realize I just consumed a lot of salt. It’s their primary taste enhancer. I like their ice cream.

The vibe of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful — open-air, spacious, and surrounded by nature. It feels like the kind of place you could sit for hours and just soak in the view. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the atmosphere. Everything looked great but was lacking in flavor. Overall, it was just okay — worth visiting for the ambiance, but not necessarily for the food.

We really enjoyed our visit to Zest. We went with some trepidation as we had read reviews suggesting our experience would be marred by unsubtle instagrammers doing their thing. However this was not the case. The restaurant had a nice ambience and the service was friendly.

We were in ubud for a week. We tried sticking to just Indonesian food, but thought we’d splurge on Zest once. We came back 2 more times. Such good food! Worth the higher price- still cheaper than Melbourne, especially for the quality. Definitely a bougie yoga atmosphere but still a great experience. The desserts from the cabinet were the only things that weren’t quite up to that same standard.

Really fancy vegan meal. Beside Plant bistro and Sayuri is Zest best option in Ubud if you are looking for not big portions. Here is also Herbivore but this is completly differenrt experience.

The waffle was heaven in the Earth, also I liked very much the Jackfruit, the way it was served was cool. (Other meal are califlower wings with potato, and royal breakfast)
