Great meal in cozy environment

Zona Franca is an association that is engaged in local projects with the community.

Not only the meals are cheap and the environment is cozy and inviting, the place is also a nice place to connect to local activists and artists.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly environment , Queer friendly

Cheapest food in Lisboa

This is not the usual restaurant because it’s run by a cultural association, but there is a great vibe!

When I visited, they had only vegan food with a soup and a tajine with tofu. It was simple but delicious. And the price : 3,50€ for a menu with these two items!

Small co-op run by volunteers. They serve meals and drinks. Beautiful courtyard and very welcoming folks. (We just went for a drink but we hope to return for a meal!)

Terrifically cheap, great single meals

This is an association and the people here are all non-paid volunteers/friends. There's usually soup for 50 cents and a 1 vegetarian or often vegan dish for €3 and 1 meat or fish dish for €3,50. So there's not much to choose but I feel that this makes the experience nicer: no regrets! The atmosphere is cosy with all second hand furniture and the people are genuinely welcoming and friendly. The food is mostly really good (especially considering the price) and creatively prepared with all kinds of exotic spices that are hard to find in the traditional Portuguese cuisine ;-).
NOT open on weekends anymore! So Monday till Friday during lunch and in the evenings! Recommended!

Pros: Very nice flavored dishes, €3,50 for dish + soup, Cosy atmosphere

Cons: Not much choice. But that's also a pro :-)
