Excellent Vegan-only Mexican Restaurant - Edit
What an authentic Mexican vegan culinary experience! We had the Patacones con Hogao for starters, the Taquiza for mains, and the Crepe Adillas for dessert. All were delicious i.e., tasty and unique. Lovely ambiance. Excellent service. Good pricing too.

Die Auswahl an authentischen lateinamerikanischen Speisen ist für das recht kleine Lokal riesig und alles ist 100% pflanzlich – es gab wirklich keine Komponente, die nicht geschmeckt hat. I love that there's plates from different countries (mostly Mexican, Colombian, Venezuelan, but further south as well) and from what I've tried and seen it's all pretty authentic vegan adaptations.

We went to the restaurant for the first time and we shared a portion of Nachos with cheese sauce as a starter. The cheese sauce was tasty and the level of spice was moderate.

Ich hab leider das Essen nicht vertragen - Edit
Ich kenne mich nicht so gut aus mit der lateinamerikanischen Küche und habe mich für das venezolanische Nationalgericht (155) entschieden. Ich fand es insgesamt sehr fade. Ich hätte insgesamt mehr Würze erwartet. Das Vleisch war kalt (sollte das so sein??). Die Gurkenlimonade war tierisch süß und passte leider gar nicht zu dem Essen. Ich bin jedenfalls mit einem flauen Gefühl im Magen nachhause gefahren. Mir war dann schwindelig und nachdem ich mich übergeben musste geht's mir wieder besser. Irgendwie habe ich das Vleisch in Verdacht, dass damit etwas nicht in Ordnung war. Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass das ein Einzelfall war, denn ansonsten wird das Restaurant ja sehr gut bewertet. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und es war eine gute Stimmung dort. Irgendwann gehe ich bestimmt wieder dahin.

Endlich haben wir es geschafft dieses süße Restaurant zu besuchen. Die Speisekarte bietet viele unterschiedliche Gerichte. Quer durch Lateinamerika. Farbenfrohe Einrichtung, Latin-dancehall-Reggae, sehr freundlicher Service und ein Koch mit guter Laune. Wir kommen wieder.

I just took a detour from Berlin to Munich -making the trip four hours longer and a few euro more expensive- strictly to visit Alebrijes. As such, my expectations were through the roof. I opted for a varied dinner consisting of various items, ranging from a starter to a main course and, predictably, a dessert. In order to make sure I sampled from pretty much every department, I also purchased a drink, horchata, which I normally won't do.
Read moreThe elote starter was quite interesting, boasting the sort of (presumably) Peruvian corn you can find in a ceviche. On the minus side, I was itching to try the quesabirria, but they failed to impress: they were fine, nothing more and nothing less.. but at 16.50, I would have expected something special. The horchata was pleasantly heavy on cinnamon and proved to be what I needed, while the dessert, crepe adillas, was very good. All in all, a convincing meal but certainly not worth the four-hour detour again, I don't think. As for staff, I had texted them prior in order to reconfirm my booking yet got no reply.. but on the premises they were indeed friendly, helpful, and capable of handling a stressed customer about to rush on yet another train right after the meal.

Ich war nun schon 2 Mal bei Alebrijes. Es gibt aber noch so viel Essen auf der Karte gibt, das ich ausprobieren muss. Alles was ich bis jetzt probiert habe war super lecker. Zum Trinken kann ich die Jarritos (vor allem Guave) sehr empfehlen.

I am happy that there is now also an Alebrijes in Frankfurt. Before, we used to drive to Wiesbaden just for this. The food is delicious and always fresh. The staff are very friendly. It's nicely furnished and in summer you can also sit outside on the small terrace. I like it very much and I love coming here.

Latin American vegan restaurant. The decor is awesome. The waitress was super friendly and warm. She spoke good English as well as Spanish, which is her native language. We ordered a "nacho" (number 128) and the Colombian dish "bandeja paisa". We liked the dishes, especially the "bandeja paisa" which, although it was a different version from the one we tried in Medellín (also vegan), especially with regard to the beans, was very tasty. We would easily go there again, it was well worth the experience. The main dishes were a little more expensive, I imagine because of the ingredients. Cash only if the bill is under 30 euros.

Somente em dinheiro se a conta for abaixo de 30 euros.

Could have been better (and more) - Edit
We came here because of the good reviews and were a bit dissapointed with the experience. The first thing was that they changed the amount of taccos, now you get only three instead of four as before and you still pay the old price (and as it still says in their menu online). The taste was fine but the amount is really not enough to feel full afterwards. In addition to that we ordered a Radler for 3,50€ (the only one stated in the menu) but received a bigger and more exprnsive one without having been asked if we want it.
