Outstanding Chocolate Croissant 🥐 - Edit
Yes to the croissant that is served hot! The macha is nice, but hard pass to the hot chocolate. It really needs improvement. Luckily, the staff was willing to add more chocolate at my request to mend it and in the end, I still didn’t like it and was able to send it back with no questions asked. Amazing. 🩵 I deeply appreciate that kind of service. 🥰
Read more✅ I really love that the server also asked us if we needed our croissant cut in half to share. That was beautiful and so nice experience wise. 🙏🏽😌
⚠️ One major downside was that a staff member took their lunch at a table beside us and it was a non vegan lunch with a large hen leg or some kind of animal product with a large bone. It was hard to ignore and made us quite uncomfortable, as we thought this was a vegan safe space and our guard was down. We were just unprepared. While this might be non relevant to some, others might be deterred.

Pros: Great service when fixing/sending back items, Conscious in meal sharing (asked to cut in half), Takes card and has wifi
Cons: A bit slow (even when empty and 3-4ppl on staff), Staff eats meat in main dining area

What the f*ck!? It doesn’t sound like a vegan business., more likely just a plant-based-one.

Indeed. She clearly had it delivered, so it wasn’t made in the cafe, but I wonder what the policy is for having those items here and regarding eating them in the same space as guests. I didn’t see the owner in today and I understand that you don’t have to be vegan to work at a vegan place, but it seemed so insensitive and just lacking consciousness and compassion- in more ways than one. 😵💫🫣

Hi, I’m one of the owners. I’m so sorry about that. We are making sure it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for your feedback.

best vegan pain au chocolat for me so far - Edit
As the title is giving it away already, highly recommend to go for the chocolate croissant. It’s warmed up for you, therefore perfectly melty on the inside, crispy on the outside, it tastes so rich too. Yum! The matcha was okay/average and the hot chocolate needs quite a bit of improvement. The croissant really turned this review around for me personally. Also, it is a very pricy place which is why we didn’t go for the vegan grilled cheese but I’m quite curious about this particular item, so someone please upload a pic when ordering it 😋😌
Read moreOne last thing, they have a lot of vegan milks (soya, almendra, avena, coco), so big plus for offering such a great variety.
Pros: melty and superb chocolate croissant , so many milks
Cons: hot chocolate

A good little spot for coffee and a chocolate croissant - Edit
I dropped by here because I was up early and this was pretty much the only place open around the area. It’s a very small coffee shop, clean and friendly. When I got here, there were about 20 runners that must have just finished a run and came in to refuel. For such a small place, the cafe was pretty much overrun by them and it was very loud and busy. Not too off putting, but not what you want if you are there for a quiet cup of coffee on a Saturday morning. I guess this is why it’s a “run club.” Lol.
Read moreI got a coffee and a pain au chocolat and left. The coffee is good and the croissant was very tasty and fresh. #Veganuary
Update: They open at 6:30 AM and I’m an early riser, so I came back for a second day. I was craving the pan de chocolate. I ended up meeting the owner and talked with him the whole time. He’s a vegan and an avid runner, as well as the Lima HappyCow ambassador. A super friendly guy, with lots of great vegan recommendations for anyone looking for places to go in Lima. If you are traveling to Lima, start here. Come in for coffee and a tasty pan de chocolate and work Ricardo over for some vegan restaurant recommendations and then plan your vegan dining tour from there. Lol.

Great spot for coffee and cake - Edit
I had a mochaccino along with a pain au chocolat (called «pan de chocolate»).
Read moreThe pain au chocolat was quite nice and flaky; but to be fully honest, I think I can find better ones in Paris (which is probably very unfair to compare).
In any case, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was rather calm.
They also have croissants, toasts and other cakes, so I'd definitely recommend it!
(I couldn't find French viennoiseries anywhere else in Lima, by the way)
Pros: vienoisseries, friendly staff, yummy
