Great inexpensive vegan meals. - Edit
Comfort food! Definitely not the same exact flavors as By Chloe. Went for the mac n cheese and got a side of Balsamic Brussels. Mac isn’t quite as good but OMG the Brussels!!!!!! Awesome!

Nice - Edit
I came with my family of three. We got a burger and two salads (Caser and Chicky Salad) The food was pretty good. I wouldn’t say it tasted spectacular, but it was still pretty filling. I thought the salads were better than the burger.

The food is OK but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. I got the mushroom salad and there was no dressing. The staff is super friendly and courteous.

Great vegan mac and cheese - Edit
The restaurant is cute. If you bring a vax card and ID you can sit down and eat there. Currently in NYC this is an extreme rarity. The vegan mac and cheese was large shells with creamy noch sauce topped with smoked mushrooms and smoked paprika. It was delicious. The strawberry lemonade was also refreshing and delicious.

Great food, but limited seating - Edit
I had the vegan caesar salad which was great! There were loads of choice so it was difficult to decide. Gluten free options all clearly labelled - and there were plenty. Also had the fries with a cheese dip which was a bit spicy and delicious!
Read moreThere are some tables in this particular venue, but not enough for how big the space is. It's a very strange layout but that might just be because of COVID. Most people were picking up to take away.
Pros: Tasty food, Gluten free options
Cons: Venue - strange layout

Always a safe choice - Edit
You can’t go wrong with Beatnic if you are vegan and into junkfood. I tried many of the burgers, the Mac n‘cheeze and the fries, and everything was decent even though not spectacular. The locations are convenient, staff is nice, online order works perfectly.

Great vegan food - Edit
While I’ve gone at least 10 times, I pretty much always get the same things: either the crispy chicken salad or the guac burger combo. These dishes are always really delicious and flavorful. The service is quick and I love how many locations they have. My only issue is that the menu is a bit small. Also, what they did to Chloe is terrible.

Not a huge fan - Edit
I love that this chain has done so well – it's important to have clearly plant based restaurants take off in the city.

The menu is adorable and the food was good. It wasn’t groundbreaking, but I love that it’s all-vegan which means I can choose from the whole menu without worrying

So bad it must be deliberate - Edit
I have been vegan for 12 years eaten at a lot of restaurants both 100% vegan, and Omni restaurants that serve vegan options. We came to byChloe when they first opened and thought it was spectacular both in quality and the emphasis on the food flavor and texture, it was top of our list. Then the horrible legal situation happened and we haven’t eaten here in years, we decided to give it a try in the last week we came to the Rockefeller Center location at 1:30 in the afternoon. In our previous visits to byChloe we would often order more than we can eat and stuff ourselves, Today we threw away more than half of our food, it was inedible. This is not a staff or location issue, this must be something coming from their leadership. The fries tasted like they had been cooked more than several hours ago. The burger was the single worst vegan burger I have ever eaten in my life and again this is 12 years of burger eating experience. This is such a quality drop off that it has to be deliberate. I hope the Chloe can one day regain control of this brand but she has a long road ahead of her to get it back to the quality she established. I am embarrassed as a vegan for this to be called vegan food. Do not recommend. By the way I wanted to give this one star but happycow. They give a star on top of my one star just because it’s vegan, that kind of mentality is going to screw with vegan food

So overrated - Edit
The food is nothing but tasteless. Their menu sounds quite good still it’s nothing special at all when it arrives. The burger is super plain and boring and looks quite old...

Guac me up - Edit
I have indeed been coming here a few times (read = a lot of times) for that Guac Burger and some sweet potato fries. Always a pleasure. I do miss a normal ketchup to drain all my food in though (sorry but someone had to say it). Advice is to bring your own if you're a ketchup lover like myself.

We went here two times on the same day because we loved it that much! - Edit
Read moreFirst, we went to ByChloe for a quick snack because we were feeling a bit peckish and our time slot for the Top of the Rock was not until 8 pm. Afterwards, we decided to go back for more, which just goes to show how much we enjoyed it haha!
We ordered a small portion of their Mac n' Cheese to share and it went down a treat! The pasta had a sweet potato-cashew cheese sauce and it was then topped with shiitake bacon and almond parm cheese. It was creamy and tasted oh-sooo cheesy.
Later, we came for dinner and, once again, we did not get disappoint with the food choices we went for. I ordered the Kale Caesar sale with shredded, chopped romaine, shiitake bacon, avocado, almond parm cheese, maple-wheat croutons (SO GOOD!), sunflower seeds and caesar dressing. I usually order any dressings that my food might have on the side but this time I kept all the ingredients in my order so that I could try the true original version. I am glad I did because this was definitely a salad done right! I loved the combination of different textures and it was SO wholesome and packed with flavour!
My boyfriend ordered the BLT sandwich with shiitake bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle aioli served in a 7-grain toast. He is not a huge fan of plain simple avocado but he totally approved the whole combo. His favourite part was the shiitake bacon, which I agreed that it was just to die for!!
Pros: Nice variety of options (savoury and sweet), Very friendly staff, Spacious
Cons: Packaging, which is wasteful if u’re eating in

Great location - Edit
Centrally located at the Rockefeller Centre which in turn means it's a bit busier so the wait time here is longer than most by CHLOE. I liked that it was so spacious, had self ordering screens and as always the food was tasty.

Came here several times on my trip and enjoyed it every time! All their food is delicious and is prepared relatively quickly. My personal favourites are the mac n cheese, greek salad, banana bread and the seasonal lemonade! However, is a bit pricey😒
