Gute vegane Option - Edit

Good food, fast service, convenient location for tourists - Edit
If you exit the Wat Pho compound you are basically there already. The menu features veganised classic thai cuisine dishes and more.
Read moreI had the tom kha gai soup and it tasted very good, although the portion could've been a bit bigger. My onmivore companion also seemed to enjoy his meal!
Prices are elevated but not necessarily uncommonly high for the area or Bangkok in general.

Average Experience at Best - Edit
The restaurant was underwhelming overall. The food lacked flavour, tasting both bland and overly greasy. While the menu seemed promising, the dishes didn’t quite deliver. It wasn’t terrible, but definitely not a place I’d rush back to. Location is great though

Yeah not bad - Edit
Like most of the places in the CBD, this does cost a little bit more. I really enjoyed the meals for taste, however the granola bowl was fairly soupy and had a low viscosity and the carbonara was weirdly dry? I don’t know, I would still come back here but I have a sneaking suspicion my food was prepared early and the wait staff just didn’t bring it out. In fairness to them, they were dealing with some rude customers. Maybe I’ll try them again before I leave an update the review!😄

Prime location! - Edit
I stopped here after visiting The Reclining Buddha and ordered an iced oat milk latte! It’s in a prime location to many popular and famous temples as well as the ferry that will take you across the Chao Phraya River! When I went , the staff was quite busy and you can tell they were very overwhelmed by the rush. I would love to visit again when they are a little less busy! #Veganuary
Read morePros: Prime location, About a 10 minute walk from The Reclining Buddha, Cozy atmosphere (despite the late lunch rush)

Flavourful and nicely presented - Edit
The food was fabulous, not huge portions but filling nonetheless. The presentation was superb, a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. They have some very nice interesting smoothies, again beautifully presented. The vegetarian crispy pork was so good it was slightly unerving! Not having eaten meat for over 30 years I had to tell myself that it was totally vegan. Only area for improvement was the staff who were charming but really slow and didn't interact much. Prices are quite high for Thailand but its in a super touristy central location so to be expected. A big recommend from us 👍

Bit sad innit - Edit
I should have known it wouldn’t be fabulous when their appetizers consisted of bruschetta and French fries?? Anyway, the pad Thai was good and came with some crispy pork bits which were delish. The gravy noodle situation I got was absolutely vile and seemed like it had been cooked for 7 days and nights. Somewhat of a fever dream.

Small Portions, Okay Flavours - Edit
Good Location as it's near the main Temples in the City Center. Lots of variety of foods. Western and Thai. Food wasn't the tastiest but still okay. Only got a picture of one of the meals.

Began Vegan is located perfectly to have a meal there after visiting the Grand Palace and/or Wat Pho, and that is what we did. It was lovely to spend some time in this bright place after the hustle and bustle.

Cute little place - Edit
The food we orded was fine (also ordered fries not in the photo) we were expecting a mock chicken but inside was cauliflower and had little flavour. This was a little snack and refreshment after the temples, not outstanding but the complimentary biscuits, muffins and kind staff gave this place a 4/5.

Everything alright - Edit
The food was tasty, but the atmosphere was somewhat awkward. Often, and almost every time a waitress came to our table, a baby cried loudly from the kitchen, which made for an unpleasant dining experience. They did misunderstand part of our order, but everything else was okay.

Nice place.. got the pad Thai and couldn’t resist that fried alligator weed, which was delicious but a little too oily for me. Still, a great meal in a cool spot!
