Stopped and grabbed a couple sweets on my way out of Wellington. They were delicious - wish I could have tried some of their other sweet (and savory) offerings!

Delicious food that’s a win with everyone - Edit
I love Belén and have been going to them consistently right from their first store. Delicious doughnuts, sandwiches, coffees and other sweet/savoury treats. I’m always spoilt for choice coming here - so many delicious options to choose from! A great spot for takeaway morning tea/lunch in particular. Loved by vegans and non-vegans - a winner all round. Also has good gluten free options.

I had a delicious lunch here. Around 12:45 they had sold out of a fair amount of things but they still had a decent selection. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I was served quickly.

Lovely variations of savory croissants or sweet versions. We had sausage croissant, vegan cheese and ham croissant and an outstanding almond croissant which is generously filled with really good marzipan. Good stuff!

If you're touring bakeries of the world, Belén should absolutely be one of your stops. They have great coffee and both sweet and savoury options are always great. There is often a queue out the door. I was very excited to see they have recently opened a second location so you don't have to go without no matter where in the city you are!

Really sweet bakery with a large variety of savory and sweet items. Had donuts which tasted really good. I got there at around 1pm and they had already sold out some items, so be quick!

Amazing range of tasty items from doughnuts to croissants to pies. I had the kimchi cheddar pinwheel and it was perhaps the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten. Decently priced and completely vegan:D do not miss this spot!

Props to whatever they use for puff pastry.

I cannot thank the Belén Bakery enough. They catered our vegan wedding and the owner personally drove out to Hataitai to deliver the cake on time. The food was absolutely delicious and we gladly ate leftovers for the next days as it all kept very well. Will recommend this place to everyone visiting Wellington 🥰

Belen is the best lunch in town. Also the best donuts. My favourites are the mince and cheese pie, mac and cheese pie, sandwiches which change every month, and donuts which also change every month. Everything is delicious, amazing, super high quality, and always a good experience.

Delicious savoury hot pies, mine was with minced and cheese (and the filling also had some veg&co). It was so good! The sweet department also looked very tempting, so I will be going back I think :)

Cute wee vegan bakery! Being gluten free on top of vegan can be tricky but this place has a few good options and they were all delicious! My husband who isn’t vegan got a donut and said it tasted better than non vegan doughnuts which is a win! Very friendly staff so that’s a bonus

Read moreThe doughnuts are beautiful and pretty tasty, but all the flavours are sort of over-the-top and not really that good. The crazy flavourings make up for the lack of general flavour, and I'd personally prefer a simple glazed really good doughnut, vs. a cookies and cream one which just feels average. Same with their croissants and cruffins. Just not quite there in terms of flavour, bland in a sweet sense. Like Whittakers chocolate I guess, compared to Lindt, is how I'd describe this place..😄
