Ganz gute bagels!

Die veganen Bagels sind nicht schlecht!
Extra dafür herkommen würd ich nicht, aber klar gekennzeichnete Speisen und Hafermilch sind klare Argumente nochmal vorbeizuschauen.

Bad service

Multiple vegan options, but just not good enough service. We asked to see a menu while we wait for a table and were told to grab one from one of the taken tables, the waiter seemed upset when one of the five of us did not want anything .
Pricey for the meals they serve, not filling, long waits (20-30 minutes to wait for 4 bagels).
Two people ordered the same drink and they got different sized glasses with different volumes of the drink?
To get better i would also add another plant milk than oat milk for the coffee options.

Bageltime!

If you’re into bagels, you’ll be fine at blue orange. Vegan options include (among others) the chili cheese bagel (with vegan cheese and cranberry jam) and the “salmon” Laxx bagel (with Revo vegan salmon). Staff is super nice and will know on the top of their heads which desserts at the counter are vegan. It’s sad they’ve taken the vegan “Hot Dog roll” off the menu, this was one of the tastiest vegan treats ever.

Much recommended

Some vegan options: bagels and wraps, also coffee can be ordered with oat milk. The bagels are very tasty and special, eg red hummus with rucola, pickles, onions and sweeet mustard - loved it! There are also vegan cakes, that are tasty.
Also gf bagels can be ordered for 50ct plus.
Friendly staff.
The price is okay for the food (5,80€ for a filled bagel), nearly 4€ for a tea is a bit much;

The location stands for fair coffee and they are a "climate-friendly" location (says a certification in the bathroom)

Bagel Lover

Lovely place in the heart of the city offering a couple of vegan bagels. Beetroot hummus bagel with rocket salad is the best.

Good vegan options but nothing special

Relaxed atmosphere and clearly marked vegan options, but the choice is limited for breakfast and guacamole and hummus on a bagel are nothing too special. Still, a good option when looking for a nice vegan breakfast in the area!

Vegan brownies

Unfortunately the staff didn't know which/if the bagels were vegan but the brownie is great

Best breakfast in Vienna!

Even though it is not all vegan, the options are clearly marked. They've also got an English menu which is very helpful. Had the bagel with the 3 different spreads and vegetables. Really tasty and very nice staff.

Cream cheese overflow

Hummus bagel is good, oat milk matcha too, and the menu 90% vegetarian. Well, both for vegans and for me (who simply hates it) it's a big disadvantage that most bagels have cream cheese as a main ingredient. I think they're fresh, so I hope they can just leave it out on request.

Pros: Vegetarian and vegan options, Good philosophy, Relaxed location

Cons: Cream cheese hard to avoid, Prices have risen, I think

good vegan options on a sunday!

Most vegan restaurants are closed on Sundays in Vienna, so having Blueorange as an option was great!

The bagels and sandwiches were very tasty, coffee was okay and the brownie was way too sweet for me.

However, still a nice find!

Nice place...

I've been to both locations a number of times. I greatly appreciate how far they go to accommodate vegetarians and vegans, with clearly-labeled options (and many of them, at that); however (and I suppose this is a bit obvious, being a primarily bagel-oriented place), you will not find much love if you're trying to avoid gluten or wheat-like grains for any reason. Likewise, the veg options - despite being plentiful - are often nonetheless fairly commonplace and simple (just hummus/avocado as spreads, usw.). Overall, I'd love it if the team would check out the work Eltana is doing in Seattle; the creativity of their spreads - many of which are vegan - seems to know no bounds! If not, even just some peanut/almond butter or vegan cream cheese (Kite Hill! Kite Hill!) would be great.

Whilst they should absolutely be given credit for so much as offering a gluten-free bagel, it is sadly more of a torture device than a food item. It's tasteless and has all the character of a limp piece of cardboard, which is fine as a quick fix and delivery device for more flavourful toppings, but it becomes far less tolerable when you have to watch your friend tuck into one of their amazing-looking wheat/spelt bagels every other weekend. Thankfully for myself, this is not a lifelong hardship, but rather a floating, two-week low-FODMAP regimen that I keep compromising on and having to start over and over.

To all coeliacs and gluten-sensitive people: I feel your pain!

P.S. - The vegan sandwich options are fine, if a bit lacking in flavour (nothing a little salt or pepper couldn't fix, though, especially if you're going for that aforementioned bagel-shaped cardboard), but beware: as with Swing Kitchen's burgers and wraps, they are not for the mess-averse!

P.P.S - Oh, and they charge extra for the cardboard bagel, both in money ( 0,50€) and time ( 15 min, glaube ich). I understand why, but still... Painful.

P.P.P.S. - There's few things I find more enjoyable than having one of their avocado sandwiches (on a pumpernickel bagel...lecker!) on a lovely, quiet, rainy Sunday in Vienna. It may destroy my stomach, but oh well, it's worth the risk!

Pros: Plenty of veg options, a few GF, They've now got oatmilk too!! :D, Nice atmosphere, whether for work or just lunch

Cons: Many options indeed seem 'conciliatory' at best, Love it - I'd just like some more creativity!

Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch

This place was awsome! I had the vegan power breakfast which was really worth the money (7,5 €), and super delicious! Got two types of hummus and guacamole to put on the bagel as well. They also have a lot of other vegan options clearly marked in the menu, and they even have a few vegan cakes! It's not too expensive, around 4-5 € each bagel, and they also make coffee with plant milks. I would definetly come back here!

friendly and tasty

Friendly and tasty. I was happy they were open on a holiday. English menu available and vegan and veg items clearly labeled along with gluten free. I had the Vegan power breakfast, an amazing brownie, and a mangon moothie. Smoothie was small. One bagel isn't enough, so i got a second one.

Pros: labels vegan options

Cons: strong smell of eggs around breakfast

Very good breakfast

This place was close to my hostel and I had a very good breakfast here.

I chose the vital breakfast option and got a bagel with two kinds of hummus (one with red beets, both very good), apricot marmelade, vegan butter and Wilmersburger cheese. All of it was very tasty and filling! My only complaint would be that I didn't like the coffee so much.

Pros: vegan breakfast, very filling, good price

Cons: didn't like the coffee so much

Good bagels

Blueorange has quite a few vegan options (including sweet baked goods) clearly marked on the menu. I had the avocado bagel and it was great for breakfast: it really filled me up for the day. It's a convenient place for a light bite, the staff were really friendly and there's an English menu too.

Vegan - Best Breakfast

Vegan: We did search for good breakfast opportunites. Here we have found something special. We had a tasty bagel (they have six or seven different kinds of vegan bagels) vital breakfast (vegan option) with vegan cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, great humus, tasty horseradish, fresh marmelade and orange juice (8,90€). We didnt need more. Hot soya chocolate was good as well. Just 4 stars because the cafe offers non vegan stuff.

Pros: Hey, they have vegan stuff!, tasty vegan breakfast
