Can't give 5 stars as it's not fully vegan/vegetarian but we had a breakfast there today and it was awesome! Would go everyday if I could

Lovely friendly little place to visit - Edit
Lovely little cafe to eat in or takeaway. Great breakfast and lunch options. All vegan food made fresh in store. Can even buy vegan sausage, bacon, kebab meat amongst other things to take home and cook. Breakfast was gorgeous for £6.40 and washed down with a lovely latte made with oat milk. Plan to go back for vegan kebab if I get chance. Sweet treats available too. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area

Must Stop for Traditional Breakfast - Edit
We very much wanted to try a veganized Scottish breakfast and this place delivered! There isn’t a lot of seating, and it is only counter service but the staff is great and it’s a good deal (£9 for full breakfast and latte).

Most fantastic vegan breakfast ever! - Edit
Absolutely delicious full vegan breakfast, complete with vegan haggis! Also very affordable. Two full vegan breakfasts, an Americano and a tea for about £18. Good selection of vegan milks too. There are other even cheaper options for breakfast as well, including breakfast bagels.
Read moreThe lady behind the counter was so welcoming and friendly. Whilst we were there a group of European tourists came in who were struggling to understand the menu and the explained everything in such a kind way, even bringing out examples to show them!
Cracking little spot but be aware that there is limited seating and no toilet facility.
Pros: Excellent food, Brilliant value , Lovely staff
Cons: Limited seating , No toilet facilities

The best vegan breakfast bagel - Edit
Their breakfast bagel really set me up for the day - toasted with a pattie, vegan melted cheese and fresh tomato. There are loads of vegan options, it’s hard to choose.

Banging Fry Up - Edit
Best vegan sausages I have had. Separate vegan menu doing all day breakfast (well open until 3pm) - haggis/bacon rolls & fry ups. You can takeaway or sit in the tiny cafe (we always find a space). Highly recommended.

Amazing vegan sausages made on-site - Edit
This is one of our favourite vegan-friendly haunts in the city. bbl have a fab range of vegan options and, even better, they are clearly signposted as soon as you walk in the door! It looks like your typical greasy spoon cafe but they make their own vegan lorne and link sausages on-site - quite easily the best we've ever tried. If you’re searching for some comfort food or after a proper fry-up, I cannot recommend bbl highly enough. Would give 5 stars if I could.

Amazing Vegan Breakfast - Edit
To me this is one of the best vegan breakfasts in town. There are plenty of other healthier options in other cafes but if you are looking for that hearty fry up feeling then this is the best and their homemade vegan sausages are better than anything else I've tasted.

Great vegan Scottish breakfast - Edit
I went with my boyfriend, I had the vegan breakfast and he had the vegetarian breakfast (it included scrambled eggs instead of vegan haggis and a roll instead of vegan toast; the rest was all the same). We loved both and they were very filling.

veganized Scottish breakfast is worth it - Edit
This is the first place I found that could offer me a vegan version of a full English/Scottish breakfast (£6.50). Great vegan sausages! The haggis was a little too spicy for my taste. Only a couple of seats available. Very friendly staff.

Love BBL! - Edit
BBL have now got an entire vegan menu which I really recommend checking out. Their square sausage is amazing and the ultimate hangover cure. Was so pleased to discover their vegan menu as this place is so convenient and cheap.

This place has delicious and clean food. There is no cross contamination as the vegan food is cooked separately. I ate here twice while in Edinburgh. Super delicious! Must have breakfast here.

Separate vegan menu - Edit
It is great that there is a whole separate menu for vegan options here. I tried the vegan breakfast but came especially to try the vegan haggis. It was good, but certainly not the best after trying other restaurants in Edinburgh that serve vegan haggis

Loved the breakfast - Edit
We took the vegan breakfast and we especially loved the sausages and the pattie. The potato scone was a bit odd I think. Great breakfast, but we ate it as a lunch because it's a bit to heavy for me in the morning haha.
Read moreThey really don't encourage to sit in I think. We waited a bit for a table but we were very tired so at the end we had to ask an employee if we could sit at her table, because she was doing work stuff or something. A bit weird when it's bussy and there aren't orther tables available.
Pros: Sausages, pattie, soy cappuchino, Nice atmosphere , Not many tourist
Cons: Very little place to sit
