Good, authentic organic food

Down to earth little restaurant in the center city area. A full page of vegan options.

I got the traditional mbaazi with chapati, which was filling and delicious.

Smoothies and fresh juices are also good.

Pros: Options, Fresh and organic, Smoothies/juices

Cons: Not 100% vegan.

Healthy, tasty, organic!

In a city where one cannot, unfortunately, be too demanding about vegan offers, Bridges stands out; they have several fully plant-based dishes and understand the vegan diet. It's tasty healthy food with lots of greens (something you don't find in the few vegan restaurants in Nairobi), and the icing on the cake is that it's all organic!

Pros: My dose of organic greens!, Tasty, Welcoming

Good Kenyan plant based options

The restaurant is located in CBD which is quite crowded and tourists are nagged by safari advertisisers. But the food was good compared to other places I have been during the short visit.

Pros: Good and filling vegan options, Local cuisine

Cons: The prices in menu were different then in reality

Solid spot for veg options in Nairobi

Although serving meat and eggs, Bridges is a good restaurant to check out for the weary vegan traveller in search of plant-based options in Nairobi's Central Business Disctrict (CBD). In addition to a nice selection of fresh fruit and veggies juices, you will find classic Kenyan dishes like mbaazi, ndengu, njahi, yellow bean stew, white and brown ugali, irio, mboga, nduma, etc. Don't forget to try some gluten-free baked veggie samosas as well. According to the menu, Bridges sources non-gmo, pesticide free ingredients in their culinary creations. Please note that some of smoothies contain honey.

Pros: Vegan African cuisine options, Decent prices

Very good choice

Bridges is located is a side road close to Kenyatta Ave.
Food is balanced and healthy. It's not only cheaper than most of the restaurants inside hotels, it's also of better quality. On top of that, the venue is clean and fairly spacious.
Staff might be a bit unmotivated at times.
But if you're vegan, let them know. Most are familiar with vegans, and they can recommend you a dish.
Portions are quite big.

Cheap, healthy, filling

An organic restaurant that serves meat but has a vegetarian section on the menu that is also entirely vegan, as well as various side dishes that are vegan. I had the veg curry - it was packed with vegetables, which was just what I needed after subsisting on mostly beans and chapati for the past week. The flavour was a little bland and it could have done with more seasoning, but honestly just having a good amount of veg made me very happy! It came with brown rice as well, which was nice. For drinks, you can choose from a selection of fruit and vegetable juices - I recommend the pineapple mint. It is all pretty inexpensive, too, and staff seem nice.

Pros: Decent selection of vegan options , Feels healthier than lots of places here, Interesting juice combos!

Cons: Food a little bland

Nice place to visit

This place had a nice feeling. Vegetarian choices were well marked and most were vegan. Food was good but not excellent and it had no much spices. I eat for example arrow roots, rice and mixed vegetables that had 6-7 different vegetables. Also I chose freshly made organic juice that had carrots, apple and spinach. Prices were really cheap. That juice cost only 200 KS (2€) and food 550 KS (5,5€). There were around 15 different juice choices and also organic smoothies with chia.
Staff was friendly and there were four people working, but I was only customer in 45 minutes while I was here. This is open in Monday-Saturday 7AM-9PM and location is 100 meters from Moi Ave that is one of main roads in Nairobi's city center.

Great find in Nairobi

Stopped here for lunch in September 2015 - took me a while to find it but glad I finally did! There were a few vegan options on the menu - I had the vegetable curry with ugali, which was delicious and filling. Busy, buzzing atmosphere and friendly staff - I would recommend if in Nairobi!

Pros: Delicious food, Nice atmosphere, Good value

Cons: Busy - may have to wait for a table
