Die Gemüsefrikadellen waren lecker und auch nicht zu fettig. 3 Frikadellen für ca. 9 Euro finde ich dann aber schon teuer. Die MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr lieb!

Not the best salad we had… - Edit
We expected a lot of Café Lichtenberg, on the one hand because of the good reviews, on the other hand because of the pricing. We had a lovely table outside and the atmosphere was very nice.
Read moreAs we visited this restaurant during lunch-time on a very hot day, we both chose the salad with vegetable balls (Frikadellen). Unfortunately, we were not very satisfied: The salad tasted quite old and also boring and the balls were barely done, they tasted as if they had been in the pan far too short.
Apart from this, although the staff were friendly, we waited for ages and were overlooked many times although it was not that busy.
Of course we understand that in central Cologne you pay for the location, but this was definitely too much for such a dish that was not even good.
We noticed that most reviews are of the breakfast, so maybe that is better, but right now we are not sure if we want to revisit Café Lichtenberg.

I loved that there were several vegan options and that some of the vegetarian options could be made vegan as well. Good service and delicious food & drinks.

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort und hatten einen veganen Frenchtoast mit Obst. Es war sehr lecker und eine nette Atmosphäre. Auf der Tageskarte gab es auch eine Vegane Lasagne.

Good food and friendly staff - Edit
Very nice place with many vegan options for breakfast and lunch (did not check the dinner menu) which were clearly labeled on the menu. Very friendly staff and very good food.

Great for coffee and cake - Edit
Some vegan options on the menu as well as vegan desserts like apple cake or chocolate mousse. Many other delicious cakes for vegetarians or omnivores in your party. Coffee drinks can be ordered with soy or oat milk (for an extra cost). Large outdoor terrace makes for interesting people-watching in the busy shopping area.
